I would like to invite any of you guys or girls to come visit me in Kvitfjell, Norway. I work at the ski resort there as a shop tech. I can offer you guys a bed or a couch, 30 to 40 percent of lift tickets (if I am with you when you buy them) And maybe some food, depending on how poor I am at the time. I will also try my best to get you guys hooked up with ski or snowboard gear. I do not think that will be hard seeing as I work in the ski shop/rental. I also can get 50% off a cabin but it can only be booked 7 days in advance.

I'll probably never end up in Norway, but if you ever end up in good ole Idaho you can stay with me.

Also I feel like we should get a dedicated thread for NS for open couches/rooms/beds/discounts on hotels/etc. so other NSers can look and see if there is a spot to stay at that location.

My car broke down on a road trip once so I came to NS to find a couch to sleep on. I did, and it was great. Saved me from sleeping in my car when it was -30. However, I was 30 and the NSer was 15. His mom thought it was weird when we explained how we knew each other. I was grateful though.

giving out industry benefits from working at a shop will get you fired pretty quickly and you will no longer get proforms, etc... its generous of you but just keep that in mind. those benefits are for the individual and not to be abused.

Haha I offered my couch to a couple nsers driving cross country. It was fun but we have a pretty prominent bar scene with extremely cheap liquor and one of them ended up puking in my hallway lol. He was really cool about it though and cleaned it all up before he left. 8/10 would recommend

Jesus, I remember having assemblies in elementary and middle school about this shit.

Not as bad, but the first time I met a certain NSer was giving him a ride up to the mountain because his car was broke down and I was making a trip up to that mountain. Once my girlfriend found out that was the first time I had met him, she was not too happy.

Haha I was probably a bit whipped at that point in the relationship;) but I'll pick up hitchhikers when I see em on the way to the hill, and I've hitchhiked as well. I think she was just a little nervous when I said "I know him from the internet, but that was the first time I met him in person"... fair enough I guess.

There not worth that much. I still have 3 sitting on ice I'm waiting to move. I guess skiers don't have the most sought after kidneys.

There was no intention on abusing my shops benifits. I work at a rental place as well so I could get some rental equipment :). And it is a bit different here in Norway. It's almost as if I'm encouraged to bring people to my resort. Maybe I'm just lucky to have a nice boss. I also don't use any proforms. Maybe I should...

I have no idea what you're on about, but this thread is about a kid in norway offering to hook kids up with discounts on tickets and rental gear. In Norway it's not uncommon for rental shops to offer discounts to employees friends and families, and they're pretty liberal about it. So yeah, you do indeed have no idea what you're talking about.

Rental gear is a dope perk. I've been to norway a few times but the only time I rode, I borrowed a childrens board and rode in my shoes. Actually was hitting the rails a bit but it was super sketch. There weren't any boots that fit me. Was still stoked to be able to take a few laps.

Probably wont need the couch unless I somehow end up drunk at Kvitfjell unable to get back home, but just wanted to point out how sick this offer is, hopefully someone takes you up on this and gets them self an affordable ski trip!

Threads, dope offer, this is what NS is all about. I might be able to make it depending on how my winter ends up looking, park looks so fun in that movie too.

You dude, are a the man! Exactly what community like this should be about! I live in Serbia, and I have some cousins in Gotheborg and I was thinking to come by this year since I've never been to Sweeden... If I do, count me in for sure!

I hope I get some time off work soon, until then stay cool brother!
 
Ayooo, I think I should update this. I moved to study in Tromsø. Some say it is the best place for pow skiing in Norway. I live about 20 to 30 minutes away from the resort but I do not work there so i cannot help you guys out with that, but I do have a couch/thin sleeping pad for you if you want to visit.
 
unfortunately will probably never end up in norway but just wanted to say holy fuck your edit is clean brother! one of the best parts i’ve actually seen on here man. props to you
