An all girls movie

I just got a crazy idea for a movie, this is just like a pitch, it prob wont make it any where, but here it goes.y dosnt like poorboys or level 1 or msp or even tgr make a movie of all girl riders. they could call it snows angels and have skier and snowboard chicks.i kinda feel bad cause when i watch ski movies, ill admit that i skip over the girls sections. so wouldnt it b a good idea because viewers like myself would not skip over sections, so that girls would get the respect that they deserve, because they work as hard as guys do. also that would open up the creativeness for girls, and would produce more girl pros. I do not think i know nearly half as many girl pros as i do guys pros, and i cant tell u the girl results in the x-games. i think that this ski movie would be a great idea for the ski communite.
i have no idea if anybody else has ever said this so if they have sry.
 
Snowboarding has been doing this for a while. Misschief Films started in 05 and has put out a couple movies. I think that they're done making films though. But their offshoot is Runway Films who is still making moves. There's also Float. I"m not exactly sure if it's a company or just a single movie though.

so.... if you usually skip over the girls sections in movies.... you are going to buy one that only has girls in it... i dont think so
 
There is one company I know of that only makes female snowboard flicks (forget the name) and there are a several of other groups of people that got together and have just worked on all female projects.
 
there was an interview with virginie faivre last year. there she told something about that. like one or two snowboarders chicks, and all the best skiing girls will try to get a girls only film out.

but: no budget, pretty no sponsors so she said that it aint gonna be too big
 
I don't think anyone would really buy that movie, I don't feel that people will want to spend money on an all girls movie when they could spend the same amount and get a movie with guys in it. As a girl I would like to see more girl parts, but an all girl movie just isn't gonna sell.
 
i was just about to say....

As a movie, I would imagine it being too repetitious and too boring. I just couldn't watch it, especially more than once. It's hard enough for some companies to make a solid movie even with guys, with all girls... it would be nearly impossible to make something that goes beyond just marketing a specific brand, even though that's what a lot of ski movies are... somewhat, that is really watchable to larger audiences.
 
I disagree. Your idea of people that buy ski movies is clouded by newschoolers. there are plenty of people out there that are way more into pow than they are park/rails/bc, etc.
oh yea, Hunting Yeti? pretty much all pow, way cooler than an all girls movie imo
 
ya no one would buy it.

only time i really watch a girls segment is the first time i watch a movie, i usually end up skipping it halfway through though

the one exception is Ingrid Backstrom she rips
 
i dont know about the new runway films movie, but the misschief films sold really well. however, there has got to be a larger women's snowboard market than women's freeski market
 
the only problem i can see is why would guys like us buy a movie full of all the sections we skip, it would have to be damn good
 
I'd say girls skiing is to girls snowboarding what guys skiing is to guys snowboarding.
To be brutally honest though, I wouldn't even consider watching that movie.
