Amplid skis question

So im looking into some Amplid Antidogmas or possibly C7's. and i was wondering if amplid skis last a long time. i don't have much money but want a good ski and really like amplid.just wondering if they are durable or not. and i don't care about delam

yeah i have invaders right now. but i heard amplid skis ski like no other ski on the market so i kinda want to try something new

my antidogmas are absolutely amazing, definetly the best skis i have ever ridden, the only thing that is bad about them is the chipping, but any sidewall ski chips

the edge ripped out of my ADogs, but they are still so lively. mind you, those ones were samples, so it could have just been an early manufacturing error or something. if you want, you can have them for $150 shipped.

sure check my sell thread (give it a bump while you're at it). the are missing edge from the insed of the right ski from midsole to tail. but there is no damage to the ski itself, it looks like the edge fell out rather than got ripped out. its weird, youll see what i mean.

antidogmas are honestly the best park skis i've ever owned/tried.. light and poppy, easy to spin, yet stable at decent speeds and big jumps. i tried my friends ar6's today, and they chattered a lot more than my antidogmas.

i can't say too much about the durability since i've only skied them like 15-20 days this season, but they look fine so far.

i skied mine about half the season, and within the first week and a half, they started falling apart...and it was downhill from there. i measured a total of 63 inches of edge ripped out, and every side of my ski has edge missing. i took some pictures but i dont think they do justice.

why are teh sidewalls red?

and i have absolutly no copmlains. deffinatly my favorite ski ive ever been on. edges have held up pretty well. just as good as any other ski. there super fun to ride. and the chipping isnt even that bad.

dude that sucks ive had about 30 days on mine and they look pretty much the same as 10 days they have no major chips and only a few scratches on the top sheet! and i push mine pretty hard on rails etc! you must have been kicking the shit out of them to be like that!

i dont know how they have the edges made in the new amplid skis, but i think the main problem with losing edge so easily is because the part of the edge that holds it in is just a straight, flat metal, and with every other brand, they make that part serrated so it grips the core better.....kinda hard to explain it but yea, i just think thats why my edges lasted for 10 days.

How has amplid handled warranting all this? I haven't really heard much about that, like were they pretty cool/legit/understanding and hooked you up with some new skis or were did they jut kind of ignore it?

i sent them in and they said they could offer me new ones for like 300. but i didnt take the offer so they just sent my skis back.

thats kinda salty... Since they're a smaller new company i figured they'd have a bomb ass warranty to build up cred. but then again it did look like your skis were more than manufacturer flaws..

are they really antigodmas? i have to question this because it is red in the picture. yet they're white. then also i don't see amplid writen on the bottom. i need proof that these are amplid antidogmas

yea they are, they are the 07/08's that i bought after last season, and they had red sidewalls instead of the black sidewalls of this years. you can tell that they are dogmas because of the 'abuse-base' stuff they put on the bases, also you can see a little bit of the topsheet of the tail which has that black and white checkered design.

i've heard conflicting stuff about their durability... I've heard they've been known to break easily, but i can't back that up with any hard evidence, sorry. 4frnts also have straight edges, and apparently those edges suck too.

Anyone else have any opinions/experiences with the antidogmas?I'm considering them for next year too.And how about amplid bindings? I heard that amplid uses inserts for mounting the bindings, so does that mean you have to get amplid bindings too?

they dont do the inserts any more howeveri have them on my 07/08 ad's and they are awesome i had some teddy drivers with the inserts on aswel and it was the best idea the only problem i found was my ad's were a bit heavier than they would have been but they still rock!! but yeh the bindings are sick anyways!!

yea not really about the same as the dogmas.

I had a pair of townships and the edge ripped out on my 19th day and no warranty.

My freind also had a pair of dogmas and the eges lasted about the same as mine.

they are tyrolia bindings, head, tyrolia, 4frnt and amplid bindings are all the same except with different name brands on them.

Holy shit dude!
Not to be a dick but I doubt any ski would hold up for you if this is what you did to dogmas! I've never seen shit like that!
To me it looks like: 1) you need to start sliding rails/boxs both ways 2) need to be lighter on your feet!
I've had my dogmas since october and ride park heavily... The edges are worn to shit but no cracks and the bases are basically mint in the abuse base areas!
Honestly how do you expect a company to warranty that? I doubt any company in the would warranty skis in that condition. I know it sucks but if you ride park breaking edges is part of the game...

i slide both ways and switch around the skis every once in a while...and i know people hate on dynastar for not holding up well, but i skied the 08/09 trouble makers for the other half of the season and they edges and base held up amazing.

When I asked Amplid if they had flanged edges all the way around, they said they did.

I have heard they are sick, but only from the interwebs, I have yet to see any in person. They seem sick, and I imagine if the tammy wallnuts folklore is accurate, skis holding up for someone like that an entire season is amazing.

I will sell you a pair used for one season. They are missing about 3 feet of edge, but that will happen to you anyways on your 20th day using them so don't mind the missing edge. There are a few topsheet chips. Im looking for $300 because I already did the favor of ripping out the edge so you can do aluminum rails.
