im not saying i dont support the military because i DO in every way...however i resent the fact that the people we are trying to help often are the ones who do shit like plant ied's and kill our soldiers. and no i havent given anything to them except my brother leaving for the military in a few months.

Look I'm not trying to point you out, but it's the new age anti-American movement that just pisses me off. Seriously, the American people do more good than people can imagine. Yet, you Europeans and Canadians are so fed by media (so is the US) that you only see mistakes of the recent government. The US is going through a really weird period right now where we have been a superpower for a while and things are starting to change.

I am not saying what these soldiers did is justified. It's inhumane and wrong, but the US military is NOT the only military who does demeaning things. Some people are just sick, and you will find that in any country in this world.

The hate on America is getting out of control now. Bush will be gone soon and the war in Iraq will probably be coming to an end soon. Yes we messed up, but we are trying to fix it. WE ,American citizens, are trying to end this war. If you look at Bush's approval ratings, we are also trying to end that. So don't let a bad presidency ruin your opinion of a country. Trust me, things are bound to change in the near future.
 
Why would I want to get out? And who the hell are you to call me ungrateful? I love this country, when it comes down to the natural beauty of the land and certain freedoms we have. But when it comes to the way this country is run, I totally disagree with our government, and the leaders than run it. If I was old enough to leave this country, I probaly would, or at least go somewhere where the people couldn't give a shit about our government. One of our unalienable rights is free speech, which I am exercising now, so theres really nothing you can say that will affect me. I hate our government, and any coup that tries to overthrow it I will fully support and theres nothing you can do about it. I hate bush, I hate republicans, I hate some democrats, I hate our electoral college and Mostly I hate white trash, predjudice fucks that make up a good 50% of our country.

I wanted a small school. I probably could have gotten into some really nice schools but it's not what I want right now.

See it is. It's posted on the internet for the world to see. If it was something they did as a joke and didn't film it or show it to the world, then no it wouldn't be a big deal. It's still wrong, but broadcasting it on the internet is why it's a big deal.
 
Yea the percentage may be off...but really about 50% of the people I meet in this country piss me off for some reason or another..I really just dislike how our country is run, with the ability to allow for one party rule in the senate or house, and the fact that most politicians are complete biased idiots. To me it just seems that America has alot more problems than any other country, (besides middle eastern countries). I also disagree with some of our laws (im not gonna go into detail with that), and the general way the electoral college is run is enough for me to not want to live here. I understand that if you live in America there really is no way to avoid our government, but I would much rather live in a less political place than I do (Massachusetts). I mean our country is a great place and all, and I love the character that some of our cities and states possess, but certain small aspects of our Gov't are enough to make me not want to live here. I also realize theres a good chance that I will stay in America, and in no way am I anti american, I just don't like how our country is run at the current time. So in reality, I don't really hate the gov't besides the points I have already stated, and I hope some improvements will be made.
 
man i wasn't saying anything about the american people, or the american millitary. I was stating the fact that we have troops out there too, and they are fighting, you guys are not the only ones who are in a war. Of course we canadians have gripes with the US government.....no offence, but during the Bush administration your government has been dogfucking us, and making our economy shit ( softwood lumber dispute, Mad Cow, Bird Flu scares, etc). What pisses me off is the mentality of the USA does what it wants, and fuck everybody else. That is why everybody is soo fucking pissed all the time man. I know there are tons of great people in the US, but we are partly in this situation because of the people.

You have to pretend to be nice to the bully so that he treats you good because he is bigger then you. But no matter how nice you are, he still treats you like crap.
