American Police Force in Hardin Montana.......Martial Law?

no no

this IS a news event regardless of who covers it. How can you possibly say its not? Thats laughable.

I am not claiming to be smarter than anyone, but i am not afraid to place importance on issues that dont come to my attention through the evening news and i wish more people acted the same way

obviously private police have been discussed a lot, but there has never been an attempt at it like this.

i asked if you were too dumb to have an opinion.

but try to quote me calling you a dumbass.

I called that one kid a jackass back but im pretty sure thats it

A $27 million jail is not a major facility at all.

There are many private prisons in America, we incarcerate far too many people to have them all run by inefficient governments.

You have no idea what martial laws entails, or what it would take to enact it (even a regional scale.)

Private police forces are quite common in other countries which cannot manage localized disorder effectively. The reason they are attractive is because they are cost effective. (general rule: 2/3 of the budget for a given bureaucracy, is spent on running the bureaucracy, i.e. not delivering services.)

APF is NOT affiliated with Xe/Blackwater, Dyncorp or any other well known defense contractor. Whoever reported this failed to reort on the exectutives of all these companies publically saying as much.

And for someone who bashes fox news/glenn beck, i think its prety funny that your basically coming to the same, absurd conclusion they are (no one else is though).

The only story here: A small local government in montana failed to make any effort at performing ANY due dilligence. Thats is: the use of private law enforcement is NOT the story, its that they accidentally hired a tainted firm. This is about the stupidity of elected officials, end of story.

theres a reason they call people who come to concusions like this conspiracy theorists, its because everything you say is outlandish, and utter horseshit.

Hahaha most of the people in this thread who arent from montana are hugely over reacting. Hardin doesnt have a police station because its a tiny ass town just like the majority of towns in Montana. Their law enforcement is the county sheriff.
