So, i have been living over the pond for most of my life, be it in france, or sweden right now, and i am really looking forward to going to the US this summer.... i constantly think about it, and i wondered why that was.

its not because of real skateshops, cheap skateboards, true skateparks, family, malls or any of the cties.

no, its more profound than those things, far reaching to the depths of my soul.

the reason i miss the US of A is: FOOD!!!!!

taco bell, i mean, come on!!!! root beer, mountain dew!!! in n out burger, kfc, oreos,fritos, starbucks!!!

sure there are american stores here, but its just an experience to walk into a supermarket in the US and soak in the amount of food to consume!!! im sure it has something to do with me being 15 and in a growth spurt, but theres something about 2 gorditas, a nachos muy grande and a grilled stufft steak burrito along with a mountain dew thats just, so, aphrodisiac (sp?)..

so im just wondering for the americans over seas, or anyone else, what is it that you miss the most about living in the US, and what do you always plan to do when you get there?

it gets kinda old. you'll find out that the food like that is only good for a little while. the best food isn't at those crappy places, although they are always good when you just need a quick bite. but ya, there is a pretty big problem with some people being disgustingly obese in the states.

well, renowned for good food, you have to fork out a bit of money to get the good stuff, otherwise my family eats the same stuff as we would eat in america, a pretty balanced menu.

but when in america you have all this fast food that is the most appealing to the taste buds (you know it), and mexican food, o! man its so great to have some fast mexican food...

the food in europe, and in france especially, is very good food, healthy and the like, but to get to a good restaurant where the food they serve actually seems edible beacuse the chef realised that not everything goes with truffles is a rarity.

sometimes you want to get the GOOD food (the stuff that tastes good, not healthy), like a big bacon cheeseburger and a root beer float, or a big burrito and nachos with a mountain dew, and a togos roast beef sandwich.... man, im depressed...

and im half american, so i guess my craving is natural...

there are some nice 'american' restaurants in stockholm too. ever heard of a place called thank god it's friday? they've got some real tasty cheese and bacon burgers and nachos and so on. situated on birger jarlsgatan i think, pretty near NK. there is rootbeer here too, just check out some cool store like ica. but why complain over root beer when we've got such great 'ordinary' beer?

 
yea, and there is hard rock cafe, but no, there isn't root beer at ica, at least not the ones here, you can't get taco bell, no sour dough bread...
