Just saw online amendment 64 has passed here in Colorado. I for one am pleased. This is a big night in the legalization nationally.

Thoughts?

Whaha, I love how the Huffington post compares it to Amsterdam, even though it's legal in the whole of the Netherlands. Oh well.

thats pretty awesome. although i can pretty much smoke whenever i want here without being hasseled so its not thaaat big of a deal

Legalizing weed shouldn't be a big deal. There is lots of evidence that that suggests that prohibition doesn't work as well as a a regulated legalised stance...

you guys are lucky....

Still though. It will be more accepting in the community like alcohol. I hate it when a random lady trips out and yells at me and calls the cops when I am toking a bong on a bench in the woods minding my on damn business. Plus when I turn 21 I will smoke mad amounts of concentrates and get crossed.

and everyone will be driving so much more cautiously. car accidents drop like mad in the next 2 years

I just don't want to see it be sold as alcohol personally. It takes away from the vibe of it in my opinion. But ya, tis gonna be great toking worry free once I am of age.

legalization or not, people are still going to get high whenever they want....i rly dont see the point

why did i move to california again?

Oh yeah because my weed is delivered to my house!

But yeah this is fucking awesome truly proud to be able to call colorado my home and california my place of residence. But that is awesome get high everyone.. Get soooooo highhhh

Personally i think this is awsome but i recently heard a good arguement agaisnt this bill in my law class. Aparrently if there are any disputes between growers and the dispensorys over money for product, they cant take it to court becuase if its illegal federaly the courts wont hear the case even on a state level becuase it deals with illgal barganing. This could fuck some people over, idk just one idea and thought id share

i-502 passed but i aint to happy about it. just gives cops that much more authority if they "suspect" someone of being high. the on the spot blood test suckk. even if you smoked a hours ago they can detect it. that and the fact im under 21...

IDK, unless it will be like that picture above... mass produced by the govt 25 cents a nug, i could see the black market getting bigger. If this amendment requires more growers to sell to stores, weed will always be cheaper straight from the supplier than what you buy it at stores. (Look at trim season in Cali right now, you can buy an Oz of weed in exchange for a full tank of gas in your car) I would like to see if the projected $40 million from tax money will be accurate.

Also, i think its easier to grow and harvest weed than to brew beer or distill alcohol in mass quantities.

ok so if california could legalize it as well that would be great...then we can finally get it legal in BC with out the US send nukes at us.

I'm from wa, 25, don't smoke anymore due to employment policy. I have heard a lot of my friends arguing against the initiative due to the on the spot blood test. Yes, from the sound of it, it sounds overboard, but the cops aren't going to be bloodhounding stoned drivers like many feel the main issue is. Don't drive like an idiot while stoned and if your going to smoke while driving do it low key like I did for many years and never had an incident. For the last 10 years we have all said it needs to be legal, and in our lifetime it will be. Now it is (as of dec 6). Dont see what the big deal is. Glad it finally happened first in wa.

Meanwhile in Canada, Conservatives passes Omnibus Bill 1 imposing minimum 3years minus one day for growing more than 3 plants for personal use, possession of one once and distributrion.

Meanwhile in Utah. It's still almost a dry state. They'll prohibit booze before they legalize even medical use. But good for CO and WA. Hopefully we see more fruitiful herbs here because of this.
