Amazon Prime or Netflix??

I've recently realized that besides a couple of good TV shows, Netflix has mostly garbage movies/shows on it. I've heard good things about Amazon Instant Video/Prime so I was wondering if anyone has it and if they can give me their two cents. Two day shipping on everything with Prime is pretty awesome, too..

Also, once you have Amazon Instant Video, do you have to pay for movies/shows you wanna watch or is that all included in the yearly membership?

I have both, and it's nice having both.

I would say get Amazon Prime if you want to watch TV Shows, Netflix for mindless movie watching with friends.

A friend of mine recently dished for the prime, after he made a big list of good movies he could get with it, then when he got it he realized only the movies with the little "prime" triangle could be watched, which cut his list into pieces.

(keep in mind this is all in germany, IDK how it changes in 'murica) so take everything into consideration before you do anything.

you have American Netflix, you don't know the struggle until you've had to sift through the trash that makes up Canadian Netflix. sympathy level = 0

If you get Amazon Prime you will buy more stuff being able to get free shipping. Thus costing you more money.

Netflix will be just $7 a month.

I have both. Prime isn't all that it's cracked up to be. You have a very limited selection of shows that you can watch for free. You have to pay for the rest of them. Plus, their streaming sucks big time. Sometimes it takes me forever to actually get a show to play.

If you have to choose between the two, get Netflix. For the rest of your needs, hook a laptop up to your TV and use Project Free TV.

Thats a great point. I'm a fan of drunk online shopping so it could be dangerous...Would be handy during the holidays though and for shit I actually need.

So let's say I get prime right now for the $99/year payment...If I wanted to watch Wolf of Wall Street, I'd pay the 20 bucks to watch it on top of the membership fee of $99? Would I get to keep it in my own queue or some shit after I buy it?

Netflix is great. You have to approach it in a certain way though. IF you decide "I WANT TO WATCH THIS" and search for it you probably won't find it. If you don't mind scrolling a bit and finding some gems. Also there are a lot of good documentaries. There really are plenty of movies you've heard of and want to watch. You just kind of have to happen upon them and be like "OOOO I WANNA SEE THIS"

The whole 4 devices for each account deal is pretty boss as well.

I wanted to try HBO go but somebody failed to give me a code and I just said fuck it.
