I don't know if this is a repost or not (sorry if it is) but I found this earlier today, most amazing footage! Check out the very end where they jump out of planes way up above some massive peaks in the alps... INSANE!!

man thats so amazing. it must feel like legit flying. i just think its a little gnarly that they risk it that much when they fly close to the wall and theres that outcrop that they just clear every time. mis calculate that by an inch and your dead.

I love wingsuit flying, been dreaming about that crap ever since I saw it for the first time years ago. Whats crazy to think about is if you did a military jump from around 25,000 feet with bottled oxygen, with a wingsuit you could travel over 10 miles before you had to pop your chute. Nuts! Can't wait! And on a sidenote how sick would it be if special forces started using wingsuits as exit plans?

apparently you have to have a bunch of certifications and stuff to be able to wingsuit... course you could always just build one and do it like a rebel!

I saw somewhere of a jet propelled fixed-wing suit, and it had a range of 250 miles and it looked so badass. i cant find it now, maybe they took it down because they are developing it now. w/e, it was the coolest thing
and this video was nuts, the last two jumps lasted forever, probably the best the jumper has ever had.

You just need your skydiving license and about 200 jumps. You can talk to wingsuit people at your drop zone and they can help you along and tell you if you are ready.

Most jumpers use intermediate wing suits before going into true wing suits. It's not something you just put on and jump off a cliff. Wingsuits like the ones in the video can be edgy and hypersensitive to inexperienced jumpers.

That was a fucking amazing video. It gave me some serious flashbacks.. I did a skydive real close to where that last jump was shot. The time I spent in Lauterbrunnen gave me a whole new outlook on base jumpers. It's a really misunderstood sport.
