who couldn't care less about this superbowl? it just does not interest me this year. i doubt i will even watch it. anyone else?
 
Yeah if it were a good game I might care but I think that the giants are going to be molested worse than a skinny kid with fair skin in a federal prison.

I think I will go take a shower cuz I smell like shit.
 
kinda the same for me, its too slow. its way too hyped up too, the news hasn't even reported anything here (near boston) for the last 2 weeks except for patriots inside access, or countdown to superbowl sunday, or other shit like that.

i got caught up in the world cup 2 years ago and since then most other sporting events seem kinda small and insignificant. sure i was happy when the sox won the world series, but even if they lost, i don't think i'd ever be as disappointed as i was when France (i'm french) lost the world cup.

ive lost most interest in a lot of US sports recently anyways.
 
football is an incredibly lame excuse for a sport......they stop every 15 seconds and then line up and smash eachother again

its cool and all, but its just a goddam game like any other game during the normal season, i think everybody gets too hyped up for it
 
I really could care less about the superbowl for several reasons.

For one, local team aint in it. Thats of course a big one.

But i guess for just any superbowl. its gay because its always (or almost always) at a location so detached from the teams that are playing. New York and New England (Massachusetts) playing in fucking Arizona? I hate this predetermined shit.

So not only does it seem detached in distance, but the crowds are nothing like what you can gain with a home field, because it is eclectic as shit, and that's pretty important.

On a similar note, the NFL thing that the superbowl has to be played at a dome is such utter bullshit. It makes the game so sterile, not to mention I cant stand the sounds of a game within a dome. I went to plenty games (football and baseball) at a dome and its just a shitty experience. Watching a game that is played in a dome is also a shitty experience.

And finally, the commercialism of the event. Everything that is major in sports has corporations tied to it, but while watching the superbowl, so much of the time is dedicated to adds that are ever so hyped up to be just amazing, when they're gay in reality.

 
I like to judge the outcome of the game based on the team names. A full fleet of giants would absolutley destroy a team of patriots. i dont care about mel gibson, or how much he loves his country. Patriots would theoretically get raped.
 
yeah i wasn't really looking forward to it very much. and so far, the commercials suck except for a couple, and the party i was at was obnoxious. i'm not all that into football, but i felt like i was the only one interested in watching the game as opposed to talking and being a fucking obnoxious douche. so i left, and now i'm watching it alone in my room. am i a loser?

so far not a bad game, i knew it would be closer than everyone though, it's interesting.

The playoffs had so much promise with the Cowboys and the Packers in the middle of it. Then the Giants, who new yorkers don't even like, had to fuck it all up.

I also hate both the sports teams of new york and boston because I'm a Jays fan and the hatred for the Red Sox and Yankees carries over into other sports.
 
I was interested up until about half time. Then I remembered why I never even watch football, it's slow. Not to mention this is an incredibly boring game, only 17 points in all so far.
