Am i the only one who cant do shit in the park? lol its kinda depressing after watching the videos and seeing that i have trouble doing a 3 lol i cant even do rails. anyone else like me? or am i all alone

i cant ride park. i am way too much of a pussy. most of my friends ride in the park and I chill with them alot. i mostly just ski the rest of the mountain and enjoy myself.

i do manage a ski shop though. so i get to sponsor skiers and snowboarders as well as organize comps. its all good.

dont worry about not killing it in the park. ski for yourself and enjoy it.

I can't do rails to save my life, about three seasons ago i could do some boxes and wide rails but i fell hard once thought i broke my hip and the fear has overtaken me. don't let the fear rule you, i will huck cliffs and spin all day but rails are so scary to me.

i just got on twins this year but i am a good skier i been skiing for 9 years now i just never gotten into the park this year i am...but i have that fear im gunna fall hard and break something and be out for the year i broke my colar bone twice and i dont want that to happen again

parks all about just trying it, nothing is really all that hard you just need a little bit of air sense and a lot of balls and you can learn every trick in the book in one spring, thats my theory anyway

No I was born good in the park..Of course not man. Just keep practicing and you will get it. Just like everyone else said. Dont let the fear get you. Maybe pull a Bode and hit up the park..if oyu know what I mean.LOL. That way you wont have any worries.

this is pretty much my first year doin park, i can do boxes and small rails and i was always afraid to do stuff on jumps but what really helps me is completely clearing my mind then picturing the trick and sayin fuck it, if i dont try it il never do it

I have just got my first twins this season and this is my first season really trying stuff in the park. It took me awhile to do threes, becuase I was scared. Now I am struggling with rails because I am a wuss. Just dont give up.

and another thing that really helps me is telling people that im gonna do something, like im still workin on 3's so im like yeah il do a 3 on this and then i almost force myself to do it cause in ur head ur like if i dont do it im a pussy and if i stop it il look sick

it snowed over 2 feet this week...i've been skiing for 10 years and i finally wanna try a backflip....anybody got any tips, other than the trampoline?

this is my first year of park but i can hit pretty much all rails (kinks, etc) boxes and can throw mute 3's and non-grabbed 5's allready

I can do a safety grab, 180, do the double barrel, flat rail, and box. I've only gone like 5 times. But the rails I do are in the begginner park and are like 4 inches off the ground. I'm too scared to do the ones that are like 3 feet off the ground 'cus they're under the lift, even though I'm like 75% positive I can stomp it.

just gain some confidence, and then try to slowly progress-

i play hockey so i only ski a few times a year. I am slowly progressing-keep learning things from this site-it does boost ur confidence

I kinda sucked until this year, but I've been making goals for myself and it seems to keep me on track. So far I have doubled the size of jump im comfortable with (was 20 ft, now 40ft), learned kinked rails, and just the other day I threw a 7. I seemed to get in a rut last year, so everytime I'm out I force myself to try atleast one new trick or rail or jump or whatever. It's really helped my confidence, and I'm super stoked about the rest of this season!

you're gonna fall, get that through your head right now. but you can never advance if you dont try, so you just have to go for it. do you want fear to rule your life? now i'm not saying to be stupid. know your limits and dont be retarded and step up from a 20 ft. jump to a 70 fter but just work your way up.

when i learned to do rails and 3's(took me forever) i just put myself into a position where i couldnt pussy out that was usually about 3 feet from the jump

i've been thinking about this also.

to do a 360 you have to realize you're going to fall and get hurt attempting and learning to do it. if you can accept that you want to fall and are willing to fall and get hurt to be like this than you have to attempt it. i've been thinking hard about this lately and this is what i realize. to be this type of stunt skier i have to sacrifice my body to learn how to do it all, which i want to do. and once i know the tricks nobody can take them away from me. no matter what.

"pull a bode" i thought i was the only one that said that. i love pullin bode's... it's more of a rush than th parks i say!!!

i was like u when i started park. the best thing to do is dont get nervious around better skiers...if there a bitch then they have no life cause they wur in ur postion once. start small..ride on boxes then progress to rails...jumps is all about having balls. u need speed ...start small

people exagerrate a lot on this site, and ovously bad poeple wont post a vide of a three or a 3 ft rail. Skiing is a sport wer you don't hav to be the best to hav fun, jus tthro in some steez and don't practice, just ski

Hey, hey! I broke mine twice as well! Buuut, you just have to forget that you had that kind of injury because the more you worry about it, the bigger the chance you're going to land on it agian.

ya i couldnt do park last year at all i sucked and all i did was straight air jumps. It also doesnt help that our park is set up horribly but i was like ok im goin to try and i fell on the box and realized falling doesnt hurt that bad so i tried the box again and again and then i got it and learned every rail in the park with in a week except for a c-rail cause i didnt want to try that rail

i dont care about pain i had pain in my life i had 4 broken bones, a HOLE in my leg, 3rd degree burn, sprains all over the place its not that i jkust dont wanna fall and break something and be out thw whole season

That's the spirit!! When I tried my first jumps I was so scared, but after all u just laugh about it. You can't imagine that u were scared at all!!

YAY, I just slid my first box today. Now I am working up the nerves to hit a bigger box or rail. It sucks though, because my park is for snowboarders, so they dont make transition jumps onto the rails for us two plank jibbers.

dude everyone has trouble, even the pros, i mean i suck too, like im just learning 5's and still getting used to 3's, and rails i really suck ass on

just remember that falling doesnt always hurt and its rare that youll break a bone cause that usually only happens if you fall real hard so just try it and itll happen

That's sooo right!!! If you think about it it's realy stupid that it's all in your head! And that most tricks are realy easy...
