Am I missing out

I have one touring ski with shifts and I'm probably gonna mount shifts on my second pair too because they work well for me and my knee is fucked and I don't want to risk it with a pin binding. How stupid is this and am I missing out on something if I don't try a light pin binding

What skis and what do you plan on using them for? (I.e generic touring or trying to bootpack 2000 feet with a 3 mile skin in with a bunch of hard asses)

Unless you have really aggressive plans where you have a lot more to worry about than your knee if you fall I would stick to shifts, especially since you know you get along with them.

If the shifts works for you why bother? Especially with a weak knee!

Although you are missing out on CAST ?

I know but I love my scarpa majestrale and I can't use them with cast and cast is pretty expensive in Europe. But next season I'm gonna get some alpine boots again and try the cast system and their pin inserts
