So Im heading to Alaska the first week of march. I plan on doing three days at alyeska resort. Iv never been to alyeska and have no clue what to expect but from what i hear is it is pretty sweet. Im looking for places to stay and i don't no what is the best. I am a college student so i am obviously looking for the best bang for my buck. Are there any reasonable hotels near by, or are there any hostels? any information is appreciated. ps I'm going with a friend that dosnt really ski and will be exploring other things so if anyone lives there who wants to shred/ show me the mountain it would be awesome.

This season up here blows and in march can get really busy. There are a few B&Bs, but most people stay at the Alyeska hotel.

first - regionals.

second - ski gabber (if alaska regionals is dead)

third - it's amazing what google can do. I have never been to alaska. I typed girdwood hostel into google and what do you know. http://alyeskahostel.com/ was the first thing that came up.

you don't need to ask Newschoolers if a hostel exists in Girdwood.

I may be up there at the same time with some people from my town. Ive heard varying reviews about the hostel, but I dont have any firsthand experience.
