Aluminium pipe

Hi, I have an alumium circle pipe and i wont to know if it will slide because somebody said me it doesnt.

aluminium is relatively soft so you will find that you're going to catch your edge far too often

The problem with aluminum isn't the surface it's the aluminum. Sand and grind it down and you still have aluminum. And guessing that's an exaggeration but why would you want to slide something that you might shave into at any moment?
