Alternatives to the Movi system!

Thought I'd share this since alot of you guys shoot DSLR's and lighter cameras such as GH2's and 3's. Obviously these are still on the high end price wise but it's good to see the price trickling down a bit from what Movi is charging for something similar. One of these isn't priced yet, but is mentioned to be more affordable.

Still expensive but a good option for anyone doing this professionally.

He's got some samples while the footage isn't great it seems to be incredibly smooth.

And another one yet to be announced:

$2500 for the one on the top. Thats a steal compared to the $15000+ of the Movi! Still expensive though.

I'm considering building one myself, currently just waiting on an open source controller board capable of handling three axis's with larger motors. In a few month's the brushless gimbal direct drive systems will be much more reachable. I am building myself a gimbal for my helicopter to hold a GoPro.
