Alternative to cinema tools? (lion crashes)

Im sure media and arts is already aware that lion (10.7+) crashes cinema tools and other programs that worked smoothly with snow leopard. I bought a refurbished MBP from apple and of course it came with lion installed (FML..)

I have final cut and have used cinema tools in the past to conform 60p footage into 24 or 30p to achieve a smooth slow mo effect. Now I can't do this because lion crashes cinema tools whenever I try opening it.

Does anyone have a secret to making cinema tools not crash in lion? or is there another alternative to cinema tools without having to download premier or any other expensive program?
 
i could get shit on for even bringing this up, but before i used cinema tools i used twixtor to slow shots down. but i never went below 60% though. in my experience it worked much better then the time remap in after effects or the slow motion built in to final cut. my 2cents
 
Mkvackay$ - Twixtor is a pain in the ass to get for free. I've tried multiple times and whenever I finally get it to properly install, I get an orage "X" stretched across my clip.

gavinrudy - THANK YOU. I'm installing now, seems like it should be a easy solution!

.Olie. - I really dont feel like backing up all my files and shit/never have fucked around with operating systems, so i dont want to fuck my computer from my lack of knowledge, considering its my life savings practically. #poorcollegestudentproblems
 
I used to have trouble with cinema tools, but I ran the software updates on my mac, and now it works. The white loading screen that says cinema tools still stays up, but the program does function
 
also when i said i used to have trouble, it would show the load screen and then crash and everything would disappear, which I am assuming is what is happening for you
