Alta or Snowbird?

Alta. Park wildcat lot. Ski Collins and wildcat

This. Just don’t arrive after 9:30am if it’s a weekday and don’t arrive after 3 am if it’s a weekend (you won’t get parking)

Park at Alta but ski both. Mineral basin is pretty sick. However if I had to

pick one over the other Alta for sure. So nice to not have the snowboard crew that has no idea what lift they are on.

Have fun!

For Snowbird maybe. Alta has reserved parking weekends.

Snowbird is easier to find your way around, would recommend skiing alta with someone who knows it at first if u can. Alta has a lot more to it imo

So I ended up skiing both. First timer at both. Conditions were overcast, relatively sparse snowpack, but decent quality. Both resorts are top notch and great vibes all around.

I’ll absolutely be back to get more days at both - but my first impression, I’d have to give the slight edge to snowbird! By no means is there any real knock on Alta - enough challenging and fun terrain for a lifetime. The kicker for me was the ease of navigation at Snowbird. The terrain is absolutely underrated because of its proximity to Alta.

The access to both is incredible, especially considering you can score $50 hotel rooms with breakfast in SLC. Can’t wait to go back to get more familiar with both. I’ll keep the NS crowd updated as I learn more…

Alta don’t allow snowboarders fuck em

As someone who also has years of snowboarding experience, I much prefer skis at ALTA with all of the traversing and flat areas.

Parking was smooth. Didn't arrive until about 1030 but was still able to park within a minute walk to the base.

Great news, good to hear. I didn't have any issues in December either and will be back in a few weeks
