You’re the one with the boner for a historically racist institution and the one making the comparison.
You are also the one who makes uneducated statements like “our country is past Jim Crow”, when very clearly it’s not. Most those laws may not explicitly be on the books, but their spirit is alive and well and permeates our institutions. Hell, there are still sundown towns in rural parts of the south.
Obviously real racism is supremely terrible.
And in our small snow sliding sphere of the world, banning snowboarders from federally public lands also sucks.
