Alpine Trekkers and FKS

So i bought some alpine trekkers for my rossi FKS 140. Is the inserts rear section supposed to hold down the lever that retracts the breaks? In all of the diagrams I see of other bindings that is how it is set up. The problem is the trekker can't become small enough to fit in such a way. The only way it seems to work is on the notch on the heel piece. Is getting rid of the breaks the only way to use the trekker with the FKS? Thanks

I have the same setup. To solve the problem, I wrapped duct tape around the cylindrical metal bar directly above the lever that engages the brakes. The bulge of duct tape pushes the lever down and raises the brakes when the trekkers are clicked into the binding. It's ghetto, but it works. Plus it never hurts to have spare duct tape in the BC. If you're really crafty, you could probably weld a piece on to the bottom of the cylindrical bar that engages the brake lever. Hope that helps.

Same problem here. FKS's and Trekkers are a horrible combination. Trekkers are garbage though. You should upgrade to some MFD Alltimes. Thats what I'm reppin this year.

I wanna put the MFD on my FKS's, but its not a pair of skis that will be used primarily for touring, so I'm still a little afraid. Anyone know if it creates a big dead spot under foot? They look like they are quite a bit bigger than the Duke even. Also, how about landing switch?

I was talking to the owner of Folsom Custom Skis, and here was his take. He said he rode them once. It was on a softer ski and he said it did feel quite a bit stiffer underfoot. However, with that said he did ride a prototype which didn't have the floating heel block like the current one. As far as landing switch, we will see.

i did some light touring with my fks' last year with the trekkers. Yeah you gotta use some duct tape to make the brakes not lag. It does work, just not the most ideal.

i've had no problem using my trekkers with 2 pairs of FKS over the past 3 years. Obviously trekkers work better with solly, or tyrolias, but they did the trick for me. I dont have breaks so i didnt notice that issue...
