Alpine reopening July 4th weekend

theyre playing park features by ear depending on the snow they have to work with... sure hope they can set up at least a couple things.. .

got about a foot up there last night... definitely fun skiing this morning

As for the fourth they will have plenty of snow to build some stuff... the only question is how fast (slow) the snow will be by then

I'll be at alpine. 100% more likely they'll have at least ONE feature up, regardless how small. Squaw's zero effort on their park this year has made me bitter. Next year = Alpine pass for sure.

Gonna put out some boxes and rails. Won't have the push time or the setup time for jumps, but we'll make the best of the jibs.

The jibs you had set up were pretty fun today, Jonahs!

A few things we agreed on: the battleship box up top was tilted a bit to the left, and the bottom feature could have used a slightly higher lip. Other than that it was better than we could have hoped for and really quite fun given there were only four features, especially after you re-worked the c-box.

Any chance that you're going to switch it up or add features for tomorrow and Monday? Killer job guys!

everything was cool besides that last tube. Maybe push the lip up so its not a gap to a short crooked flat tube. people were getting spit right out haha

^ Your both skiing 4th of July weekend... don't complain, Adapt. If they were getting spit out, or coming off early they maybe they should learn from it.

I'll go ahead and look around tomorrow. There's still a good bit of snow, but your ski should be on the surface by now.

Im not complaining at all, its constructive critisizm. I work in a park during the winter and have come to realize that a feature isn't good if you think the feature is good no matter how sick it looks even if you are riding it yourself. Its what every one else thinks(the people that are buying tickets/hitting the park) even if they are retarded haha. Maybe you can teach me and everyone else i was with how to adapt though? Long story short i had fun and it was worth the money.

Heard that Squaw and Alpine were both great, I wish I could have been there! I'll just have do some summer hiking instead

All in all, a great weekend. It was really hot!!!

Sorry I couldn't do more in the park area, but if you noticed how fast the snow was melting, you would know it was nearly impossible. Setting any kind of rail that had to be flat, would have been a nightmare. Wanted to build a jump, but all other snow was used just to make Red trail ridable.

I think we were the only ones to set anything up in tahoe, so I was just stoked to have something to play on. Really stoked to get to ride the lifts in July, instead of hiking. See you next year!

Thanks Jonahs! You guys killed it— for only being able to put up four features, you put up four really fun, playful features. Great job!
