Alpha 2 mounting points?

Im not sure where it would be best to mount my alphas. I ride park 90% of the time. Some people are telling me dead centre and some 1 back and some 2 back?

What do you recomend?

Thanks

I mounted mine dead center and they ski great in and outside the park. I would do the same. Maybe 1cm if you don't always center mount your skis.

Do not mount them center. Because there is more early rise in the front, mounting them center mounts them ahead of center on the part of the ski thats actually touching the snow. Mount them where it recommends (2.5 back)

Do this. I think there's more than 2.5cm tip rise than tail rise(length), so if anything you're past center of running surface.

Mounting them center is retarded, many people will do it and they will still ski great, but won't be better at anything than -2.5 is, and center will feel way less stable.

I've got Alpha 1's, i mounted them dead center and they feel great, despite the early rise it still feels better in the air and on jibs to be right in the middle of the ski. Just my opinion.

if your searchbar it theres about 3 other treads on this. but i would go recomened cause armada really thinks out the mounting points

I have alpha one's mounted at dead center. They ski great in the park but i wish i would have mounted them further back for all mountain riding. I already have center mounted park skis so i am going to remount them 2.5 back next season just because i do not need two pairs of centered park skis. When i demoed alpha 2 they were mounted back some and they were much more fun is different snow conditions than how my alpha ones are currently mounted. i hope that helps

Have you ever used them at another mount though? This always happens in every mounting thread. 3/4 the people on NS mount any park ski center and because it still manages to ski downhill they think center is best.

Email Armada, asking where their pros mount and why. Tyson will probably name a few of the guys on it prefered spots, and I bet none of them are center. And those people actually tried more than one mount.

Thanks for the help! All my other skis have been centre mounted before for the reason that there semi semetrical so when i got these i was not quite sure where.

Im pretty tempted to go dead centre or -1 back.... Im not so kean on -2.5, just sound kinda far. Ive emailed Armada and i will see what they say.

No, I haven't had the chance to ride this particular ski at another mounting, but I was merely giving my opinion that I feel they ride well at center despite the early rise. That being said I definitely agree that you should talk to Armada.

This is what Armada said :

Thanks for dropping us an email and

more

importantly for purchasing the Alpha 2. The factory recommended mount

line for

the A2 is -2.5cm back of center (our park mount). As is the is a park

engineered ski, and utilizes our EStech, we recommend the park setting

over our

freeride mount (-5cm). The A2 can be mounted true center; however, we

find

most customers don’t like a true center mount on this particular ski.

Most of

our athletes will mount between -1 and -2.5cm. Given that you will be

skiing

park almost exclusively I would recommend mounting within the range that

our

athletes tend to mount. If you have any further questions please let us

know. Thanks

again.
