Alpha 1 vs. Halo

My old skis finally died on me and now I'm trying to decide between Armada Alpha 1's and Halo's.. I ski 98% park, pretty big guy, more rails than jumps.

Does anyone know the pros and cons of each or if one is better than the other for me? Also, how do the edges hold up?

Thanks NS

Any help = +K

Well, I would probably go with the Halo. Dimension wise they're the same ski, but the alphas have a race base and they're a bit stiffer in the tip and tail. They're more of a jump ski. On the other hand, the halo are very soft, and the subtle rocker in the tip and tail make them a very playful ski ideal for shuffles and butters. So yeah, you're looking for a jibby ski with a low swing weight that could handle rails to perfection and that would be the Halos IMHO. I've have not ridden any of them, so this advice is purely based in several internet reviews. Speaking about the edges, I got AR6s and they hold super well after 3 seasons! Hope this helps even though it's a pretty superficial and basic explanaition!

Well in that case yes. As I said before, they are the same ski. So the alphas also got tip and tail rocker. The extra stiffness in the tail is to have an extra support on jumps. But given your size I think the alphas are your best choice. The Halos might be too soft for you. Anyways, if I were you I would wait and hear what the other nsers have to say! Cheers.

They're the exact same except the alphas are a little stiffer (not even that stiff) and have a faster base. You should probably go for the alpha considering your size/weight.
