Alpha 1 vs alpha 2

Okay so I search bar'd this with no results, so sorry if this is a repeat.

i'm very seriously considering alpha 1s and 2s. from what i understand, the alpha 1 is lighter, more spinny, and with rocker. apparently it slays jumps and is sweet on rails, and is basically awesome. but what about the alpha 2? does anyone have any experience with them? I heard they have an ar6-based design, so they're a little heavier, but what else? thanks so much, i really appreciate it

okay. So this would mean that the Alpha 2 would be a little bit stiffer and heavier? That would then translate to mean that the Alpha 1 would be a little better in lighter stuff, and the 2 at speed and in crud?

The A 1 has a faster base they put on their pipe cleaner and is a little softer/lighter, the A 2 has the base they put on the AR6 and is a little heavier and stiffer. The AR6 base is easier to maintain than the pipe cleaner base.

No. The Alpha 1 has the pipe cleaner core and base meaning its faster and you have to maintain it more. The Alpha 1 is also a tiny bit stiffer. the Alpha 2 has the ar6 core and base. Little more durable. Weight doesn't matter they both aren't that heavy. If you're looking to do more rails than jumps get the Alpha 2. If you jump more Alpha 1 either way they are both sick. Also to the Armada website and watch the product videos for furth explanation.

awesome thanks. so both would have decent power flotation then (obviously this isnt primarily a pow ski, i'm just looking to make an informed buy), and would basically kick ass at what I want. and yes thanks i'll take a look at the armada videos

okay so i think im pretty set that i like the alpha 1. I'm 5'11", 175, ex racer. I can't have skis wimping out on me. 176 cm or 182? I want the shorter turn radius, but I'm worried that 176 isnt enough for me. thanks for help

Coz Jacob Wester rides them and hes a stud lol ... Also, get the 182cm ... Jacob comments in the armada product video that these ski short, feel short, jib short etc but you still have the full length for stability!

182 for sure, the alpha 1s ski super short. really fun ski that can also rip groomers. alpha 2, i dont know so much about but apparently its like an ar6 with the alpha technology. jacob wester says on his blog its really good for slushy conditions, city comps and not having to constantly wax and maintain the base.

I do ski care anyway for cash so thats really not an issue with me..i just want a performing ski
