Alpha 1 or Domain?

Hello my name is Callum and I'm a COMPLETE FREESTYLE BEGINNER :(I can ski anything, but can do next to no tricks, so in that sense, I'm a beginner. I can just about 360.

5"11 and about 203lbs and I only ski in europe 2-3 times a year, almost always france.

What skis would be the best for me? I have been told to go for the K2 domain, because I have the disorderly (the predecessor of the domain) but I was also told that Armada's Alpha 1 would be a good choice too.

Which should I go for and what size? Currently on 179s

Thanks!

Atomic punx are great skis. Light, buttery and you can learn lots of new skis easily. Im 5' 10" and i ride 173. Sometime i feel like using a longer ski so if you are you good skier all mountain go 182. (The sizes may be different next year so i dont know about that)

Alpha 1s are more of a stiff, advanced jump ski but the domains could be fine.

Neither - when you're skiing only 2-3 times a year, getting new skis isn't going to help you progress. Your Disorderlys are very similar to the skis you're looking at and are perfectly fine for a beginning park skier at your height and weight. If your skis are still in good condition, keep them and just go skiing more often. Is there anything you dislike about your current skis or are you just looking for an "upgrade"?

There's not much of a difference between the disorderlys and domains, and alpha ones require a decent amount of freestyle skill to take full advantage of. Like previous posts I'd say just ride your current skis until they're thrashed, if you still like your disorderlys afterwards you can pickup domains later.

The top is starting to cheap severely and it is quite a cheap ski, so the domain is to replace them as they are on their way out. Thanks for the advice.

the topsheet chipping means nothing. i'm still skiing the original disorderlys after years. they're really chipped and my bases are pretty damaged and they're a bit short but they still ski and thats all that matters.

My current park skis started to chip "severely" within a week of getting them.

Like the guy above me said, the topsheet chipping won't affect your skis performance at all. As long as your edges and bases are alright, you don't need new skis.
