I'm heading to france to ski l'alpe d'huez after christmas. i really cant find much solid info about the place though. anybody have experience/know what the best spots are?

Yea this is a really sick resort, just explore and you will find everything. There is a bar in town called La Rodeo that has a mechinaical bull and always is fun. Just make sure you check out La Grave....the resort right next door if you want to ski some gnar. Can't think of much else, enjoy the pastries and dont trust the cab prices

That whole region is straight fire. Some of the gnarliest Big Mountain and BC lines possible, and Les2Alpes has one of the sickest parks in Europe.

I'll be shredding les sybelles, huge resort that hasn't been discovered by the mainstream yet, awesome backcountry, nice ppl, good nightlife, decent park, etc....
join the "french alps" cult for more info....

Went there easter last season.... parks seemed pretty good.... jumps were a bit pitted though but that is france for you....
Back country was awesome, some seriously good lines, good on piste stuff as well, check out the "tunnel" black, you ski through a tunnel through the mountain, straight on to a gnarly steep black!
the resort is a little ugly in comparison to some other french places, but it is all about the snow isn't it?
The glacier they have there is pretty nice as well, the longest run in europe i believe - i did the whole thing non stop, bit of an effort i tell you! found some sweet wind lips and cliffs to drop as well.... all in all pretty sweet resort!
