So im a ski instructor in MN and yeah apparently you cant wear tall tees or have any shirts hanging out of your jacket. iv been like fired probably four times but the fact that im the only freestyle coach keeps me from getting fired. You need a black hat, black snow pants, and this gay ass blue jacket which is also my lift ticket on to the slopes. Instructing is fun but not worth it.. because these jackets make you perform 20% worse
 
Dude i work at a hill in NH where it is black pants black coat and i agree, the coats suck and it just makes you look super goofy, just don't wear Tall-t's to work and that will work out better

i'm also an instructor on youthcamps and luckily for me we get much sweeter jackets, we have the o'neill seb toots pro-model jackets and pants :)check out my pictures and be jealous! (the "speikboden ski-area" pic shows the jackets best ....)

So you work as a freestyle coach, a job which a bunch of people on this site would love, and you are bitching because you can't wear a fucking tall tee. Are you shitting me? You are pretty ungrateful. They pay you money and you have to wear a uniform. Seems pretty fair to me that the people who pay you get to dictate what you wear and if you don't follow their dress code they should be able to fire you.

i work for wild.. the instructor jackets are pretty gay looking spider jackets.. but when you arent teaching you just get a paper ticket..

and when i'm coaching the freestyle team.. we can wear whatever we want.. i just wear my pretty sick park crew jacket and tall tees.

yeahh at least your getting a ticket.. Good luck at the comp this sunday btw.The Dteam guy at afton and many other ppl have tried to fight to get nicer jackets but its an up hill battle. Worked there for 4 years dealing with their bull.
 
are you kidding me... why? the jackets i have had for four years. they wont let me purchase a new one because they dont have any, they promised last year that this year we were all going to get new jackets from a different company. oh the jacket is a Karbon blue jacket and it was a large when i bought it when i was 14. now im 18 and it doesnt fit. they flip shit when i have my hood on a sweater sticking out. by my neck. Its just crazy.
 
how can a tall t wearing park rat be a ski instructor?
