Im getting a backcountry/powder set up this winter. I want a binding setup that is really reliable- reliable to take out into the backcountry for over a week at a time but is still burly enough to rip hard around the mountain. i was thinking about the alltimes and pivot 14s. what do you guys think?

I am getting the same setup this year except I will be mobbin the rossy fks's. I hope it is durable. What really appeals to me is the lower ride height. I just got mine in and they are surprisingly light, especially for how big they are.

im kinda wondering if the pivot heel would be more or less durable becuase of the swivel? its all metal but i wonder if i has a lot of small moving parts that could break and leave me fucked out in the bc

In my experience I have found that the pivot heel piece design I'd much more durable than other bindings, and I think this can be accredited to the turntable system. There is not near as many stress concentration points like on other bindings, which provides less wear and a more consistent release pattern.
