why do certain people give the winter x games shit?

i love it, apparently though, it may be going down the tubes!? what is this madness?
 
i know, i fucking love the x games, but ive heard from a couple people that the x games arent doing to hot

im psyched for them to be in aspen again, im gonig to them with a few friends!

u guys going?
 
its all about snowboarding when your there. there was absolutly noone there for slope warm ups which was the sickest part cause at the bottom of their warm ups, the athletes stop and actualy talk to the crowd (unlike the boarders) but since me and my roomy were the only people there, they would come talk to us. we had a 15 minute convo with andreas. he is such a cool guy. he told us what he was going to throw for his last run (which won it) during the warm ups. and /claim
 
idk y some people dont like the x games...all the best athletes competing in beast events...what could be better? (the dew tour)
 
i thought it was kinda weak last time but hopefully it's better this time around. i'm not giving up on x yet. although i've gotta say the summer games are always more entertaining, what with cars catching on fire and such.

I think the whole aspect of winter x is sweet. I love how they are able to air all three sports during primetime. It seems that each year skiing gets more and more popular on there, which is great. It does really make me mad that they don't change places every year. I think it really would be great.

I am really hoping that they make skiing sound just as good as snowboarding and the public starts to see them equal.
 
who will i be seeing there? ill wear a newschoolers scarf everyday of it, so if you spot me, put down a callout.
 
A couple of my friends and I go every year. It's so much fun. Standing at the bottom of the pipe is the best. Especialy if you can mak eyour way into V.I.P. because the athletes will just stop and chat you up. Last year was a blast. And shredding the surrounding moutains was a blast. Snowmass has an epic part and highlands is nice steep terrain. Buttermilk and Aspen are a waist of time though!

X games=sold the fuck out

Every year the coverage of skiing falls close to 0. Im sure being there to watch it would be awesome, but seeing it on TV just sucks. All they show is 2hrs of snowboarding, 4 of rally 2 of motorX and .5 hr of skiing.

To make things worse, you get the contraverses, "This guy was so much better than Simon Dumont, the judges are biased as fuck" is what I hear after every comp. For me the X games are dead....dead dead dead.
 
I watched most of it online last year and got to chat with peter olenick. He answered some questions I had. It was pretty cool. ESPN did a nice job by doing that, but the announcers and coverage of skiing suck. Spin to win only looks cool to drunk rednecks who thought world poker tour was supposed to be on.
