More fitting forum for you.

haha ok buddy. The fact that you are 39 and still wear flatbrims and "understand underground culture" really confirms my thought on what a joke you are.

Dozens of older guys in their 40's wear a flat brim hat . So let me get this straight, these legends in their respective sport are " jokes "? Would you walk up to Seth and say that to his face ? I doubt it. And this is a few quick examples,

You're not them....

It's fine to want to emulate their style and all, but to be honest, any 40 year old who isn't a pro-athlete or celebrity in an industry where it is the norm, looks foolish.

But, you do you.

Lol and you know what I do for a living? Definitely not emulating anybody bud. I live a lifestyle and work in a culture where this has been and always will be the norm .

It's hilarious how heated you are about such an insignificant topic...

Personally, unstructured baseball hats are the go to. I'll rock a patagonia trucker hat or a visor on occasion too though.

they arent really a trend though, people have always worn them

Yeah "people " have always worn them but it is a trend in streetwear circles nowadays. I work for a multi-platform web retailer, community style and media company specializing in streetwear ecommerce. and see the trend gaining momentum daily . It's like when snapbacks came back around, then 5 panels came in. Now the " dad hat " is all the hype . I'm just not a fan myself. Even look on commercial street wear websites like pac sun or zumies and you'll see countless " dad hats "!

Agree. Unstructured baseball hats are the way to go. Look by far the best in most circumstances. Can be worn after work and still look good, golfing, hanging out, etc.

That moron who is defending flat brims since they are "dad" hats can go fuck himself. I would love to see a picture of that fool wearing a flatbrim and the rest of his attire.

you work on wallstreet correct? I'm going to assume then people wear suits to work. But who the fuck would wear a hat with a suit? That has got to be the worst thing I have ever visioned.

Correct...you would look retarded wearing a suit with a hat. But most jobs at least in the office aren't suit and tie these days on the street. For me its business casual...today im wearing a shirt, pants, vest. If I decided to wear a hat after work it would like fine. But yea...I wouldn't wear a hat with a suit. That is a horrible look

We get it , you're a rich boy . Work on Wall Street and ski Stratton, dress like a snotty doucher and pose as a freeskier . Let me ask you what appeals to you about park skiing culture? The way you describe yourself nothing about you seems to fit the mold of a freeskier . Your a gaper ! Plain and simple. You definitely vote for trump too , no question .

How does a job, or location, mountain, political prefereence have anything to do with me being a freeskier? I can rip on skis and ski better than 99% of the mountain.

I love freeskiing, love the approach to skiing, the style, etc. Far from a gaper and I would ski with anyone to prove that. Park is fun as hell and im a bit over my park skiing phase at this point in life but still like ripping it from time to time or some laps here and there. Though I have never been a fan of the dirty, grungy style of park skiers like yourself. I prefer to present myself in a way that the vast majority of people would respect for networking purposes, etc.

Sounds a bit like you're just quite plain jealous. A bit crazy all this came from criticizing the stupid look of flat brims to be honest.

I guess dressing in nice clothes and having a job in an industry you like makes you a douche now. Ironic, considering it comes from a guy who justified his style by saying it was the industry standard.

I think someone is butt-hurt that they're getting critiqued for trying to dress "hip" like they do "underground" when they're almost 40.

You must look at the way every park pro dresses and want to vomit!

Anyway, I've had enough with wasting my finger energy in you. Have a nice life dood !

haha ok man. Ever think about the term "marketing". You literally are a sucker. You dress like all the pros because guess what...they are SPONSORED and are paid to wear/look like that so people will buy gear.

And to be honest ....yea. I think the XXXXXXL tall T / outerwear look, looks absolutely ridiculous. I wear my gear a bit on the baggy side but also functional.

Street wear is my job and has been since 2000, long before getting into freeskiing. So , dressing like " the pros " isn't my intention. I can understand the style as the parallels with what I do for a living are on par with one another. Anyway , have a nice life .

I'm still laughing about the fact that this thread started out as OP asking what hat he should buy. It escalated way too quickly.

Jiberish is a street wear company. Saga is a street wear/ outerwear company. Armadas apparel and outerwear is inspired by street wear trends . Most of the freeski related brands have roots in street wear.

Outside of skiing most street wear brands have a link with action sports on some level. Wether its skateboarding, snowboarding, etc .

But street wear brands vary greatly. Some of it's pretty sick and some of its absolutely terrible.

Absolutely the worst example of street wear I've ever seen . the supreme hat you posted on the previous page is street wear as supreme is completely a street wear company.

damn you sound sooo insufferable, I hope no one has to deal with you on a regular basis. With that said, I'm not a huge fan of flatbrims, I think they make the wearer look like they're stuck in 2005. With that said some people can pull them off, so no hate... but not for me.

Your just as in the wrong as the other guy. You both hate each other's hat style . This is why companies offer several different options. Different strokes for different folks. However, he does know his stuff when it comes to street wear.
