All mountain ski

Hello,

I am needing your help please

I am advanced skier (ex racer) and was wanting an all mountain ski so just got the new 2024 Head Kore 99 and to be honest dont love. I am 6'3 and 96kg so really like to give my skis some when i turn them. I am not sure what they are good at as when I do smaller to medium turns they chatter, they dont float in even 15cm of powder, they dont like the crud and are very stiff for bumps so am very lost. I was keen on them as they were meant to be a versatile all mountain ski that is a little stiffer

I am going to replace them and need help

I want an all-mountain that I can give some but also be snappy and less demanding.

would love it to be quick, stable at speed, float and hard snow integrity

I am thinking

1. Fischer Ranger 102

2. nordica enforcer 100 or 104 free

3. Black Crows Justis

4. K2 mindbender 99

5. Fraction Dancer 2 or 3

6. volkl mantra 102

thanks for your help

I also hated the Head Kores I demo'd, I agree they didn't feel well thought out and ended up being good at nothing.

I'm not super into the more directional skis, but a friend that is is a huge fan of his 4FRNT MSP 99's. I also really like the Dynastar M-free line, although it may be a hair on the surfy side for you if you describe yourself as an ex-racer (but its still pretty stable at speed). Salomon has been producing some very well performing skis recently, but Salomon's durability is a concern IMO.

I haven't skied them, but the Moment Countach's have been making some noise recently for blurring the stable/playful line.

I would read a bunch of Blister and NS Roofbox reviews of anything you're interested in, they are by far the highest quality reviews out there

I’ve rode the 104 free and it’s definitely a good charger for what you want. Handles fresh powder (I used it in over a foot of fresh), packed snow with lots of crud, and your standard groomer at high speeds.

haven’t tried the others so I can’t comment on them

Those are all mostly demanding skis, but as a larger skier they might be fine. Look into a Zag Harfang 106 if you are interested in a medium-heavy charger that’s not too burly but still stable. I have the 96 and love it as a daily; It’s definitely a directional ski but not too much work.

yes. a ski that than ski ll of the mountains. count me in on this quest. From everest to the best. One that can do it all...
