I am 6ft 1 and about the same weight as yer mate, ex racer and freestyler from way back. So like a good solid plank that is twin tip rideable. I have JSkis Masterblaster which is a really nice plank for all round capability, also a pair of ARV96, which I would say are more park focused than the JSki and are less directionally stable as a result of being more centre mounted, even though I'm mounted at the free ride setting which is as far back as it goes. Also just got some Head Oblivion 94, which I'm hoping I like better as they appear to have a much longer effective edge which will make em feel less washy in turns and big booters I hope. Just hope they're not too soft.... but Newschooler rate em at 7/10 stiff... so we'll see. Been trying to get something as good as the Atomic Theory from 2012, they were the ultimate 1 ski quiver IMO, nice and stiff, little rocker and twin at 95mm underfoot and plenty camber with no taper in tip or tail. Excellent all mountain ski.
FYI all my planks are the longest available size for stability at speed and getting the most out of the all mountain side of them.
