All Mountain Park Ski

Im thinkin either the

Icelantic Pilgrim in 169 or

Line Prophet 90 in 172

Im 178cm, 70kg and 16.

I'll be skiing everywhere with my parents in the morning then when they're too sore in the arvo will probably head to the park with my brother.

I'm skiing 2 weeks in Salt Lake and 3 weeks in Big Sky. The widest ski i've ever skiied on is 84 and both are 90 wide so thats no problem and both have a good radius.

Any thoughts or suggestions on the subject?

line blend, 100 underfoot and a full sidewall ski, not cap construction like the prophet 90. Other option would be the Armada arv, 95 underfoot and also a sidewall ski. The blend would be a little more pow specific, as it is a tinge wider, and this years has tip rocker. If u ski a lot of groomed, but want the capability to go off trail on a pow day and have fun, go with the arv, carves great for its width and more stable at speed on trail than the blend. If ur still growing, and depending on ur skiing ability, i would consider possibly going with something in the low 180's range, as u will be able to ski on these for longer, and if u plan on skiing off trail alot, the low 180's will give u more float and more stability at speed in varied condition snow.

I'm not really looking for something too wide like the kung fujas or the blend. Something that carves great but also skis park well is a bit of an ask. Because i live and ski in Australia we dont get a heap of powder and when we do its heavy so i ski trees and early morning groomers before heading to the soft park in the arvo. If i could use these skis for the US this winter and next season in Austraila id be happy and probably end up selling them to the shop i work at. Anyway i was also looking at the Head Johnny as a all mountain ski?

just get a directional park ski like the AR6.
by asking for all mountain you've implied you want a bit of pow action, hence why people are suggesting 95mm+ skis.

My bad, when you said all-mountain ski I figured you wanted to be able to ski pow with it too. They're 'only 95' in the waist though (the Fujas), the Ar7's 87. You're not gonna get much thinner than that.

I think the Punx and Ace of Spades are the thinnest park ski's (I think they both measure a 82mm waist). The Punx aren't really good for groomers etc (especially not in the morning, I own them so I can tell). The Spades have a Ti core and are pretty stiff, I reckon they'd be good for carving, on the other hand I don't think they perform well in Pow.

I'd go with the Ar7's then if I were you!

As theNUTZ told you , look into the low 180's 169's and 172's will def be too short for you especially in pow.

Also : you are 16 so still growing a lil... the low 180's will be double win.

Take a peek at the K2 Revival , rockered park ski, 121/90/115, low swing weight etc etc look up for some reviews..

the shop i work at has a pair of revivals in demo maybe i should just take those?the fujas' look pretty solid but he helix's are probably a bit straight. is there anything wrong with the icelantic pilgrims? or maybe the nomads? icelantic skis just look dope. are this years moment tahoes any good?

I've heard good things about icelantic, but not many people on here know much about icelantic I don't think, including myself. The tahoes are awesome tho. I loved them when I skied them. Fairly powerful, built really well, great for kickers, carving and a little pow skiing

in Australia we get pretty much only get the big companies that make on piste skis since everyone snowboards. so im lookin for something like moment or icelantic that is rarely seen in oz. whats with the square tips?

I have the chronic cryptonite and they are fantastic for all around the mountain in my opinion and they're obviously great in the park...might not be too fantastic for powder though although the 92mm of width could make it manageable.

A few posts back you said you wanted a thinner ski than 95 under foot.

I still say Line Blend or the K2 Fujas. Can't go wrong with those!

Pick a ski that isn't too stiff, so it will still be playful and responsive in the park. Something between 178-184. If you're only 16, you're bound to grow still, maybe. The Icelantics you're looking into, maybe look into a bigger size.

Here are my suggestions

Line Blends

Moment Tahoe

Armada ARV

Armada AR7

Surface Double time

Line Step up

Nordica Zero

Armada El Ray

Liberty Helix

Rossignol S5

Volkl Bridge

Head Johnny

It's a big list, but it's the kind of ball park you want to be in.

My pick(s). Blends

Everything else I've heard really good things about.

I've skied the helix, it was too short for me (friend swap). It's an awesome ski. Powder and Jibbin.

Skied the Zero too, I don't know how much it;s changed since, but it's an awesome ski. Center mount them up, and you'll be set.

The blends are pretty decent on groomed out here, def not a ski thats good if u like to ski mach 3 with ur hair on fire, but playful as hell and a great all around pow ski, just wouldn't venture on to boiler plate w/ it

Those are good skis, buy them if you want a buttery all mountain ski.

They lack a little in stability when going at high speeds though, it's your pick if you want a stiffer ski that's more stable or a softer ski that's more playful.
