All is well in the Sloth kingdom...

Today I skiied Alyeksa Resort on opening day. It was the first time they've opened the summet before thanksgiving in like 30 years; back when we got literally 9 feet of snow in our driveway every year.

As I told Blake over the phone, picture the tree skiing segments of Show and Prove, or JP's tree seggy in Ski Porn...thats about what it was like today. I had to walk in knee-deep snow just to get off the tram. The trees had no visable pines as they were just big white triangles protruding from the slope. The weather was cloudy, and all I could see were snow-covered trees as far as my vision would allow me.

I got endless faceshots and hit pillows galore. I even 180'd off the last drop of a double stager and skiied switch strait into a tree. Ouch.

I'll try to get pics up soooooooon. I'm going back tomarrow.

Thats all for now. I'm about to go check my house to see if my sticks came. And then its back for another day!

I'm stoked akldghadoih'gadeg'hoefhafegf

Ilove powder opening days.

we get it relevitly often. what dorts of expansons has alyeska gotten this year?i heard ther were some?

all mountain night skiing, all mountain snowmaking, and minor upgrades like lift line trafficking and doors and such.

Today was even better. I found some hidden pillows that hadn't been touched Saturday, and my friends and I just practiced hitting them switch all day and we also did our first backies of the season. Then the sun peaked out.

Bliss.

heres a few snapshots I got:

keystone has very little snow but theres no feeling like bombing down an icy run with no poles popping fatty airs off erry lil bump in sight, and some backwards carving...

no bueno, barely enough snow to open in some places,

i actually got hot outside today

There are some patches of snow high up where it's shady.  Hopefully the resorts will be able to blow enough to open by Wednesday.

yeeah but I only have like $300 haha.

And I'd have to choose between spending that money on filming or skiing.

decisions decisions...

You guys complain about mountains barely having enough snow to open, but you should really be thankful. In NY, its been 50 for the last 2 days, rainy, and the forecast isn't getting much better.

Patty... NOOOOO! Surf dude, it's supposed to be getting good. There isn't even snow yet.

Here's the forecast:
