All Full Tilt Owners Read This!

I was thinking about switching from SPK's to the new tom wallisch FT's.. before i make the switch i wanted to see what you guys thought about them

Pretty sure the hotdoggers (twall pro model or whatever you wanna call them) aren't gonna fit you if spk fit you good, cause as far as I know have a very different (much narrower) last..

go to a bootfitter, don't be a trend whore, get something that fits, it may be FT maybe notnow let this thread die

all the boots are 98mm last except next years booter which was bumbed out to 103mm... your spk's are 106mm so you see the difference

I also have a question about this, i have some space in my spks for my feet to move around when i have it basically strapped up to the max and my feet move around in them so will full tilts fit me? or what other boots would you recomend? btw i plan on going to a boot fitter

Only some of the boots are wider last...the Hot Dogger is NOT one of them, BUT the booter is...
I'd say, unless the SPKs feel REALLY roomy in the toe box (side to side), you won't be fitting in the Hot Dogger...but you might fit into the Booter, which will be a wide last boot next season, I think they're gonna end up being little heaver (at least they look like they will be), but the flex and feel should be the same (as this years booter...not hot dogger - however, you will probably be able to get a new tongue to make it the same flex).

The SPK is 106?!?!?!?! thats fucking huge... i don't believe that. Tecnica makes a HVL (high volume last) boot that is maybe 106 (im not sure on the numbers)

wait let me just get this straight....... you have SPKs.............and now you want to buy Twall's fulltilt.................because they are cool?

bro spks are like dinosaurs compared to the small full tilts im 14 and have a Very narrow foot and i have bumblebees...... GO TO A BOOTFITTER YOU TTTTRRRRROOOLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what i heard at EWSRA, the new TW pros have a thinner liner in the toe box to allow for wider feet.

so basically what you are saying is you just want whats trendy not what fits?

enjoy your shinbang, lost toenails, and general foot/leg discomfort, not to mention decreased skiing ability.

Yeah, but you're always limited by the shell which is 98/.99mm. If the shell is wrong for your foot, no liner in the world will truly help you out.

I have spk kaos and they are too narrow for my foot. I can safely say that any SPK boot available don't have a 106mm last. When I was testing boots all spks were too narrow.

If they had a 106mm last my foot would fit perfectly.

103mm last is more realistic

First off, wow you have wide feet. Secondly, the listed forefoot width of the SPK is 105mm in a 26.5. Salomon has stopped printing the forefoot width, mostly because it scares off potential dealers/customers. It's no longer in their dealer books.

Plus, every listed measurement of any boot's forefoot width is only of one size only. As you go up in size, they get wider and down in size, they get narrower.

holy shit ur foot is wide, check out the phoenix 100 hvl from tecnica, 106 last, and its super deep, any bootfitter can punch the boot out for u in spots where it still is to narrow, it gets a little tricky near the buckles though. But u can only punch it out soo much. From reading around and from what the salomon rep told me, the spk is indeed a 106 last.

holyyy shitttt... all you kids out there saying im getting the boot just for how it looks i have 1 thing to say.. did i ever in my original thread post say i wanted to get the boot for how it looks? no.. im thinking about getting FT's cause i hear they have a lot more flex than spks and are generally better for rails.. which i enjoy a lot more than jumps.. i never said i was getting them for the looks

facepalm.

a) you cannot have a boot thats "good for rails" its a ski boot, not what you slide rails on...

b) the point remains, you are wrong about them being "better for rails" and THEY WONT FIT YOU IF YOU FIT IN SPK'S!

period.
