I was about to buy a new comp and i want an alien ware cuz they seem like the shit... anyone got one that can tell me if its worth the 2 g's

I don't have one but back when I was lookin for a new comp I looeked into them alot. First of all what do you want the computer for? Also I feel that Alienwares are heavily overpriced compared to soem other companys computers with equivalant components. Thats just what I have coem to notice though.

 
no dont buy Alienware theyre mad gay, dont buy it trust me. My friend wasted all his money on one, since theyre overpriced, and he sent it back 3 fucking times in 4 months cause of mobo problems and grfx card problems... and then they lost it in the warehouse.

 
Ya if you were to build your own computer you could get the same thing if not better than what alienware or any of thsoe companies would sell for less than 3/4 of the price.

i just got a new sony vaio r-series. it is 3.4ghz, 2mb ram, and a terabyte of hard drive space. plus it has windows xp media center, so you can watch and record live tv, play all your music, videos, and any other media. it is even liquid cooled so it is totally quiet. i have never seen a sicker computer before.

what do you mean how do they run? how well do they run? they run great! i have one and i just ordered another (one is at moms house and one is at dads) they one we have is GREAT! it is easy as hell to add parts and ram and shit to it and I was even able to overclock the processor by 120 mhz withought adidng any cooling and i could have probably gone higher. Cyberpower has also won awards from magazines such as Maximum pc, a very trusted pc magazine.

you can use one of their pre configured ones and modify it a bit if you want, or assuming you already have a monitor and assuming you have decent cd rom drives or whatever, you can configure your own from scratch and leave out the monitor and cd drives and save money and just add the old ones from your old computer. you can do the same with your videocard or soundcard. on top of that Cyberpower uses much better motherboards and so on in their computers then Compaq, HP, Dell, or any other mainstream computer company does.

cyberpower looks like a cool site!

i buypower is another site very similar good pc's way cheaper than alienware...

but nothing beats building your own!

dude, idk, the price difference, especially if your going extremly high end, and usually even if your not between cyberpower and goin it yourself is small. usually it is obvous too. like last computer i got from cyberpwoer, they had a 52x burner for sail at office max for $10 so i ordered my computer with out a burner.
