I dont really care if this is a repost I just have to vent my anger on the subject. Im canadian I am in awe at the complete lack of information and respect that was shown on the show red eye. I understand that most americans do not think this way but I am in awe at the ignorance that was shown. Greg Gutfeld, In my eyes should never have a TV show no matter how little people watch it. yea, thats what i was thinking. Those guys on fox were shitheads and i don't agree either, but green doesn't seem make himself any better. He doesn't argue back or say anything other than fuck you fox news, and talks about how shitty their show is, which i'd also agree with
 
the canadian government show grow some thicker skin then. it doesn't mean anything, it was a stupid fucking thing for them to say, but seriously, grow some balls, this isn't the playground in kindergarten.

We already dealt with this in the other thread. It's not about making jokes about Canada, it's about making fun of the soldiers the day after four more of them came home in coffins, bringing the total to 116 (as opposed to 667 US casualties, while we have 1/10th your population). And the reason we're there in the first place is that your country was attacked. So yeah it's kind of a legit thing to be pissed about, particularly on behalf of the families of the dead guys whose service to their country and yours is being mocked.
 
First of all, no, it's not the same thing as someone calling all americans fat and lazy, because that doesn't specifically target people who are DYING TO PROTECT YOU.

Second, we aren't helping you in Iraq, we are in charge of the mission in Afghanistan, which is actually a completely different country.
 
If you'll actually read, I'm saying that Tom Green didn't say something equally stupid because it was a generalization about Americans, not soldiers. Making fun of those people is inherently much worse than just making broad generalizations about a country.
 
And given that Greg Gutfeld is a total dick and completely deserves it, and Fox news is a media outlet that broadcasts his garbage... Talking shit about them is as bad as making fun of the troops how, exactly? You make absolutely no sense, I think your decision to be done with the argument is probably wise.

Americans should be really pissed about being labeled fat and lazy? Dude you cant even compare they two "jokes". Americans put them selves into a situation of being fat and lazy by over eating and doing nothing. Canadians on the other hand where put in a situation where we decided to help the US out and use our smaller army as best we could. We were the ones who were commanding most of the Afghan war until just recently when Obama decided to pull of out of Iraq and focus on Afghanistan.

We then have real soldiers coming home in coffins at the same time these dumb fuck comedians decide its a good time to belittle the major effort we have put in on your behalf's. The thing that pisses Canadians off is many Americans don't fully understand the show is a joke and probably believe the things these idiots are saying.

Making fun of people dying isn't funny... sorry.

 
we've already thoroughly discussed this, so let's let this die. Leave it for theshitty comedians from both countries who don't do real shows
 
I am Canadian and..well I dont care in the least. Canada needs to fucking suck it up and stop whining, and to answer that other guy talking about troop casualties. Maybe if our army didn't suck ass and have shitty equipment we wouldn't die all the time.
