What up guys!? An album I recorded for my friend Mark Baker A.K.A. Dumb Luck has reached #9 on the college and non-profit radio charts nation-wide!! This is a big deal for us, being at #9 puts him ahead of guys like NAS! Anyway, the album was released under the name Def Letter, Def Letter being the group name of Dumb Luck (rapper) and Linus Stubbs (producer/beat maker)

You guys can listen to and download the album for free from my Soundcloud. The lyrics and beats are a very raw, underground sound. Please listen and enjoy!

My favorite tracks.... Social Introduction, Deja Vu, Tomorrow, Just A Man and I Got Love....

Dope see the Alchemist's new album, Russian Roulette is on there, I've heard a few tracks from that one, and it's really good, really unique. I'll also be sure to check out the album OP recorded.

Thanks man! I'm stoked! Ever since news went public that I was the person to record his album i have 75 extra songs booked to record in september/october!!

how do you like the genesis? I've always thought about investing in a tube condenser but they're damn pricey.. have you recorded anything besides direct vocals with it? my buddy's dad has an m-audio tube mic thats a couple thou I think, but its the best, warmest condenser I've ever heard

The Genesis is absolutely amazing. I have paired it with an SM57 and sennheiser e614 and recorded tons of string instruments on it and gotten a great sound.. acoustic guitar, violin and Hawaiian ukelele to name a few.. When i bought it 2 years ago, i was torn between getting it and the Rode NTK... at the time, both mic's retailed around 800 bucks... I decided to go with the Genesis because it was very similar to the NTK and it's just got that sort of AWWW when an artist walks into my studio, he sees this shiny red and gold mic. To an artist they just think "oh shit!"

If you're looking to make an investment into equipment, PM me. Musicians Friend (im sure your familiar with it) has its call center located in Salt Lake and i have tons of friends that work there. Being an employee gets you equipment at cost plus 10%

2 years ago i spent 3 grand and got about 5800 bucks worth of equipment

I fucking love that Neil Young sample in Long Time Coming goddamn, you got talent.

just checked my download report this morning and its gone up by 280!! keep spreading it guys!

you should hear the all strings beat i'm working on.... 100% original violin samples and sounds that my homie played and i'm chopping them up. shit's gonna be fresh

great lyrics and beats and stuff, the voice is a bit weird, but its not like i could do any better... so props, thats sick

you guys are the shit! i'm stoked so many of you are showing love to this music. the violin beat is kind of on the back burner until i meet up with the violinist for more samples... but here is another artist i work with you can check out... his name is Zigga

the track with "Qball" featured on it is the violinist i'm collaborating with on the all strings beat.

also all free download... and Evan Heath just shot a music video for us... shit should be dropping soon.
