Alarms

whats up guys. i need some advice here... currently in college, earliest class is 11am. I set a couple alarms every night to wake up and I don't know whether they don't go off or I just sleep through them but I legitimately and unintentionally sleep through them half the time. Last night I set an alarm for 8:55am so I could get up early and do an assignment for the class which is 2% of our overall grade. I JUST woke up, 1:30pm. What the fuck. This is also my 5th absence from class and after 4 every time we are absent our grade drops one letter grade (A to A-, A- to B+ etc). I would be a straight A student if not for sleeping through my god damn alarms.

Can somebody recommend me a system that actually works? I have been using my phone and laptop. Used my laptop yesterday and it decided to restart itself halfway through the night and cancel the alarm. Used my phone today and it failed to wake me up at max volume. Should I buy a real alarm clock or something?

go to bed earlier...

unless you fall into comas every night and sleep for insane amounts of hours.

What works for me though is put your alarm on the other side of the room so you have to get up
 
hire a mexican from home depot to shove a metal rod in your ass at the time you want to wake up.

you won't sleep through it.

Come on man lol really? I left my phone somewhere the other day and had to find an alarm, if you have an iPod those have alarms on them. Jut plug your ipod in to some decent speakers and blast death metal full blast for the alarm or something if you're that dead to the world.
 
leave your window shades open, so it gets bright as fuck in your room.

get a really loud alarm thats super annoying.

ask your room mate to wake you up, if you're legitimately trying to fix this problem, i see no reason why he wouldnt be down to help.

go to bed earlier?

eat healthier, sometimes eating shit food all the time can just make you super lethargic.

exercise, be healthy, quit drugs/drinking a lot.

see a doctor if all else fails?
 
i sleep with my head right next to a window, shades open. I go to school in Colorado so its usually bright as fuck in the morning, yet i sleep through that half the time.

My roomate usually unintentionally wakes me up before my classes. He's gone for the weekend though.

I think ive gotta go to bed earlier for sure. I just always end up procrastinating sleep for some reason.

I don't eat super healthy, but I don't eat shit food all the time.

I worked out yesterday, and I have been severely cutting down my drinking this quarter because I am on accutane and probation (4-5 days a week to 1-2).

I might see a doctor if it happens again. Im ordering an alarm clock on ebay right now, anybody got suggestions on a dope one?
 
Are you fucking kidding me? You have to get up by 11 and you can't? You might as well just stay in college, if you even make it, because the real world is not ready for you.

Knew I was going to get some responses like this. I worked full time 8-4 in a cubicle this summer. I had a different phone then and it worked every morning to get me up. Chill your nips bro, I'm just asking you guys to recommend me a decent alarm clock for a heavy sleeper.
