Looking to get new pow skis for mostly inbounds stuff but I think I want to get some Dukes and start doing a bit of touring in the sidecountry. Which skis do you think would be better or any other suggestions?

The are very differnt skis. The pep is a soft jib style powder ski. The ak is a much stiffer charger with a much longer radius. What style of skiing do you prefer playful or charging? There are a lot of good pow skis so maybe open your self to a few others too.

^ completely different, jj's are beyond stiff, i wold try testing them out, or at least going to a shop and fealing how they flex

No way dude. The Pettitor will be stiffer underfoot and better for charging and resort skiing, while similarly playful in the tips. The 195 AKJJ has a 18m turn radius, while the 189 Pettitor has a 24m.

OP Id go with the Pettitor. That being said, the AK JJ has a more uniform flex, rather than a hinge point of stiff underfoot and soft in the tips/tails. I just dont like armada skis..

^ypur right about the radius I thought it was longer then that but I still think the ak skis like a stiffer ski then the pepitor. The pep has a heavier feel and a softer overall flex in the tip and tail I found.
