AKamp Mont Avila HELP!

365$ includes coaching, 290$ does not. you have to find a place to stay overnight. i recommend the Travelodge or the Manoir St-Sauveur (travelodge hotel and not motel for an optimal experience, and it has A/C that was a big plus last year)

what area of quebec is it in? im thinking of taking a train up from upstate NY near albany. is it worth it?

well it's definitely a good time but it's only 3 days, so if you intend on learning something you really have to take it into your own hands and sack up quick. its about 45 minutes of Montreal more or less (by car) so i dont know if you can take a train there unless you carpool with another NSer (always good times when 2 NSers meet up and try to organize shit believe me). i think it would be worth it, its much better than NOT skiing!

Sauveur is in southern Quebec, about 45mins (by car) north(ish) or Montreal.

If you are coming from Albany, NY, you need to take the Greyhound bus from Albany to Montreal. It'll be like $100 return or something.

From Montreal you will want to take the bus from Montreal (Berri Uqam Station) to Mont Saint Sauveur (direction of Laurier). It's not too pricey at all, and I know in the winter it leaves MTL early (7AMish) and gets you to Sauveur /Avila by 9AM.

Can anyone confirm that this bus runs the same schedule in the summer? I've only taken it in the winter.

Hope this helps. Train's won't work, they either suck or don't exist at all.

If you don't feel like taking the 2nd bus from MTL - Sauveur, I recommend trying to get a rideshare with someone. There are plenty of Newschoolers in Montreal. Or try craigslist for rideshare.
