ak74, best of both worlds, the bomb proof-ness of an ak and the accuracy of an AR, depends a lot on what specific 74 you get. but they can be damn accurate, less recoil than a 47, technically a better round than .223 also..
Also, OP, if you're at all serious about buying a gun don't get an assault weapon... Chances are that if you're a little white skier kid (99.999% of ns) you will never be in a situation where you will need a weapon like that.
Get a shotgun, go hunting, feed your family. That's cool.
Well, AR's are a lot better than hunting rifles for coyote hunting. But other than I agree with you. But i'm pretty sure the OP was just trying to start a shitstorm and not considering these guns at all
the ar15 will be more expensive to shoot. almost 1$/ round if ur buying from the shop. so if you have a 40 round clip, which i know you want those high capacity mags! yur spending about 100 bucks when ever you wanna go out and shoot.
price aside the ar15 is more accurate bc it shoots a smaller round 223 5.56. also i feel liek the construction is better and i like the feel of them better. more reliable imo. my buddys just got a few smithand wesson m&p 15's they are sick
ak. will be cheaper to buy, less expensive to shoot. rounds are about half the price. around 40cents. but less acctuare and they will jam more often. altho they do have a more bpowerfull buck behind the shot.
LR-308 and AR-10's are better then AK47's IMO. Takes the only argued weakness of an AR-15 which is the lack of stopping power in a .223/5.56 and bumps that up with the .308 or 7.62x51 round. Takes the accuracy of an AR and gives it more bark than the 7.62x39 of the AK.
I have a DPMS .308 Carbine. Finding plinking ammo is a bitch and is expensive but super fun regardless. Cleaning is a breeze on the AR platform. Never have disassembled an AK or variant before how easy is it?
uhhh? ak-47s are infamous for NOT jamming. in the unlikely event that you do get a jam, more often than not it's due to the magazine or old ammo as opposed to the gun itself. there's a reason why it's the most popular assault rifle in the world...they work in damn near any conditions...wet, dry, covered in dirt, etc.
I haven't been a kid for a looooong time....physically at least. (Still a kid at heart.) I can see how you'd be intimidated by them if you didn't grow up around them, but a lot of us did.
