Interesting post for International Transgender Day of Visibility.

I think I even agree with the underlying message that people who had developed with male hormones should not be allowed to switch genders to compete but this is an absolutely tasteless way to go about it.

Maybe would have been funny tomorrow of April fools?? Even then though. Pretty trash take.

If people need to change their gender identity in order to validate their own existence and that helps them be happy and respectful to others then go for it right? Live and let live or whatever the saying is

however, there is a clear difference in body development from male v. female genetics/hormones and who knows what else so I think it is still acceptable to deny entry based on those grounds.

Seems extremely narcissistic for someone to go through a gender transition solely to finally win a competition.

Contrary to popular belief, not a single person on the planet is changing genders just to win competitions... If Ahmet actually felt that way no one would care... Everyone was freaking out about Lia Thomas but if you actually do research and look at there podium standings they only won 1 event... Thomas is ranked 36th among female college swimmers in the United States for the 2021–2022 season, and 46th among women swimmers nationally. do you really think any of these swimmers except for the top 10 stand a chance in the Olympics or nationals?

Freestyle skiing is more of a mental strength then a physical (you need fortitude in both the be at the top*)

In a competitive scene or sport which requires more power, or grit. Men will dominate. That's just a fact some people can't accept. There is a female who wants to play in the NFL right now, I think that is an awful idea, the only reason it is able to be argued is because most people don't have the sociological knowledge to efficiently argue.

Men have more "grit"? What the fuck does that even mean. Naturally men have more muscle mass. No one is arguing that, but saying that they have more mental fortitude? What a dumbass take.

Also, you are just factually wrong about the "genders, of which there are 2". There are so many ways that the genetic sex, internal genitalia, or external genitalia don't match up for various developmental abnormalities. These are more common than people realize. Granted a lot of trans people aren't in this category, but it is still worth noting that medically it can and often does get very complicated.

I'm guessing you haven't heard of Kate Weatherly who was an average DH racer who could barely compete at local level races but after transitioning, Kate absolutely dominated the NZ women and was nabbing regular top 10s and podium finishes AT WORLD CUP EVENTS. She's now doing the same in the EWS.

Poor women. They had rights for a little while there but trans women are more important now. Sad.
