AHHHH DELAMINATED.

So I was doing jump runs today on my High society classics 180's and i think i didnt quite clear and landing and ended up compressing one of the noses.

On the way up the chair, my brother said, "omg is your ski delammed?".

AND IT WAS.

so thankfully my dad worked in a ski shop when he was younger and knew what to do.

Keeping the delam open (only about 4 inches long..if that) he spread an apoxy glue (after the skis had dried) and then clamped the skis about 305876043456 times.

He then plans to rivet the tip after the glue has thoroughly dried.

Any comments/concerns about our method of attack?

Yah epoxy/clamp is the best method..assuming he knows the best type of epoxy to use..theres some good 2part mix or marine grade stuff which works great

Having the delam at the tip means there would be more upward stress than if it were along the side of the ski, so riveting is probably the best way to keep the laminate together - your Dad sounds like he knows what he's doing.
