AGP graphics card?

So I used to have an ibook g4 and i ran final cut express on it, but the computer broke and i got a new imac. I installed final cut express on the new imac and when I went to open it it said that I am missing an AGP graphics card. What is that and why does an ibook have it and not a newer imac?

A newer iMac would have a PCI Express graphics card. Basically the successor to the AGP port...
