Aggressive tourists

Throughout the christmas break I do notice an increased amount of really aggressive skiers. Once, going casually through the lift line some tourist punshed and pushed me because i was , from his perspective queue jumping. The lift line was really wide and he decided to not go to the left side. He continued to shout at me and punsh me and another park skier with his ski pole. I saw similiar situations again this christmas breaks. Have you guys encountered similar situations?

If you leave a gap in the line and your group isnt maxing out the chair, Im scooting past you. Though thats pretty standard.

Oh fuck yeah. In mountain towns, its a fucking free for all. Im not kidding about the clusterfuck of gapers and bad drivers. On most days, its pretty calm; I have my place in the lodge, I chat with the baristas and take my time to get dressed. When people act like aggressive assholes in an easy going small town, I want to shut them down.

Here is just a few I encountered in the last 3 years:

-Road rager on the way to the lodge. He came close to causing a pileup by trying to make an illegal pass. Once I arrived, he waited for me to yell on how I drive poorly. He was from south Calgary.

-Angry mother in the snowpark. Her kid cuts me off on a jump, so I talk to the mother to advise her of the dangers of a snowpark. This somehow degenerated to her cursing me for not respecting her right to ski where she pleases. Park rangers had to break it up. This situation happens a few times a year on holidays.

-Angry soccer dad in the chairs. We lit some doobies in the chairs and it hurt a 40 year old business elite 2 chairs down. He made such a bit fuss of it, even the lifties told him to chill.

-Angry chick that could not figure out powder skiing. While her boyfriend was having a blast, he ditched her on the chair...with me. I tried giving hints, but she has a 17 minute long monologue on how she cant ever have fun. I quit after a minute

I used the singles lane and had an awkward moment where I was the tourist getting yelled at by aggressive locals, they called me out for budging. It was a small ski hill near North Dakota where nobody understands how ski hills work. I ended up hiking the park most of the day because of how fed up I was with them.

Lol what hill was this at?

In Whistler last year at the bottom of Wizard Express there was two entrances set up but for some reason everyone was only using the one. I guess sheep upon sheep. So I ride down and am like fuck this I am not going to back there so I just joined in on the second line which no one was in. So the two meet and form one line and when I get there some gaper is like "the line is back there buddy" and I'm like no, there's two gates so two lines are usually formed. And he was like "don't make call patrol on you" and I'm just standing there like man fuck this so I be a smart ass to the bloke a little bit and when he goes to call patrol I just take back the fuck out of there and use the single line. As I was getting on the lift the lifties were laughing because he fully pointed me out to patrol then patrol said I was in the right and he was in the wrong and it was just hilarious.

^This so much... I live in a mountain town as well which can only be accessed from the city by what most would consider a somewhat sketchy two-lane pass... Every time i have to drive town to the city for whatever reason (i try to limit this as much as possible) there is an incredible amount of slow-ass drivers clogging everything up. People see a little bit of snow on the road and decide this justifies them to drive 50 mph under the limt

You guys have slowtards on the highway too? They infuriate me, when you are stuck behind them from the parking, you will be behind him for the entire way back to town. Its worse when they have huge trucks, or unmaintained junk mobiles with summer tires.

Ugh yes... one would think that if you have a line of 50 cars behind you and no one in front of you it would be obvious that you're doing something wrong, but noooooo. too many texans in colorado...
