In the NS poll section of the site, 2047 of you participated in an Age Structure poll titled "How Old Are You?" Turns out that the assumption of the typical NS'er age is true. Here is the layout of percentages.

It seems that we NS'ers are truly made up of a young crowd, this is no surprise as this is a young and progressive sport. Here are some fun simple facts.

-Only 13% of NS can drink in a bar unless you are from Canada, then it's 25%... oh ya and 35% in Quebec where the legal drinking age is 18!

-73% of you are teenagers, which explains a lot...... seriously.

-only 4% of us can rent cars.

-A third of NS'ers can not get a drivers license.

-Only a quarter of us are old enough to be in college, with a 27% graduate rate in the US, it's likely that less than 3% of NS'ers have Graduated with a Bachelors degree.

Seeing that three fourths of you are 18 and younger, it makes sense why our awesome community is the way that it is, a young and vibrant atmosphere. Hope that you found this information enjoyable, and before you just post and hate... try to have half a brain and make this a reasonable discussion. Otherwise find another thread to troll. Can any of you guess my age? I'll give you a hint, I'm not 12 and younger.

-Drinking age is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec.

We ski in Manitoba. There aren't many of us be we shred and party hard. Doubt there are enough of us to change the percentage though. But Alberta should have a hefty sway on that figure. I'd factor that in and see what we get.

I was unaware of that, nonetheless it's an interesting poll. I'm curious as to whether or not it's accurate to today's age structure. It would be nice to get some more recent results if that's the case! I'm willing to bet that there are more teenagers then before... and maybe a little more older guys, but who knows.
