Hey guys, I'm doing some filming for a buddy of mine who runs a local company and I wanted to create a nice intro using the company's logo for him in after effects.

Here's the logo:

I was hoping to create an intro using techniques similar to these but I'm not sure what to look for in terms of tutorials.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

+k for good advice

there are so many youtube tutorials, but thats the problem, there are too many. I was hoping someone would understand what i was trying to do and point me to a good one.

yea I know how to do this just not really sure on ae but its really simple once you figure it out. I use adobe illustrator for logos and stuff, so then take the .ai file and import it to photoshop and hold down the eraser button and click background eraser. then just erase the background not the logo and you sve it as a png file. you can import it. I just did it with the logo in my newest project, https://www.newschoolers.com/membervideo/464709.0/Official-Salt-n-Pepper:-The-Movie-Trailer?s=173780&t=2&o=8 right at the end of the actual trailer the little design we made. if you have any questions let me know

not really sure what the guy above me is talking about, this is just the way that I know how to do it so I shared but if there is a faster way im interested

if your are trying to get illustrator files into after effects yiu can import them and the good part is it will see the illustrator layers as indicidual layers in AE. They also rwmain vector and you can scale to your desire.

welp after a couple tutorials and a few hours of playing around, i was able to create something successful. once i make the actual edit, i'll post it here.
