Ae.abercrombie.hollister RANT

So the only way for anyone to be an individual is to dress different than everybody? I pretty much only wear A&F and hollister but im just as much an individual as any of you. I have my own personality and i have my own state of mind. If you say im just like everyone else cause i wear trendy cloths your a moron. All of my friends wear the same thing, but were so differnt its ridiculous. All your points suck, and to generalize all the trendy kids in your school is fucking retarded.
 
all those cloths are soo gay, any guy who wears that stuff is brokeback. Some of the styles are okey, but the companies are just outright shitty. and half of it has soo many frills, i hate that frilly shit!
 
HAHA, top of the world is probably the worse store in existance. they are more trendy then hollister, ae, gap combined. i would much rather shop at ae than top of the world.

top of the world is the biggest trend whore in all of ottawa in terms of stores, not to mention the atmosphere of the store itself is shit and not a friendly place to shop.
 
ive never boutgh anything from those stores. not because im a rebel, just because i cant afford it and my parents wont buy them for me. i like some of their pants but i dont have 85 bucks to spare. however i did buy a tall tee last night for 6 dollars

Clothes is a way that people FREELY like to express themselves. Why the hell would you even begin to judge someone because of the clothes they were. You are stereotyping and have basically no point to this whole rant. What if people like the clothes and don't want something original. If we all wore something "original", then it wouldn't be original. There's no way everyone on this earth can wear something totally different from everyone else. Just because you didn't fit in at highschool doesn't mean you have to try to tear apart the kids that did. Who the hell cares what other people wear. Stop bitching about clothes.
 
holy shit. girls that ONLY wear hollister and abercrombie piss the shit out of me. like crap they all look the same/ like clones of each pther which isn't cool at all. maybe their hot cause most guys liek them but they are SO annoying and cloned. same with guys. you cant just wear the "surfer" brands of clothes. and hten on surveys or w/e when their like describe your style and they say surfer. CLEARLY you arent concidered a surfer unless you've actually done it before. wearing some of it is alright cause its nice but dont over do it
 
thus why i dont wear surfing clothes anymore even though i do surf. i find other ways to support my local shop

i wear AE and A&F but im not one of those fags who pops their collar or wears skate shoes and has never even touched a skateboard in their life. i just like the shirts though, anyone who buys jeans at A&F is retarded, jeans all look the same and the only reason they cost so much more at A&F is because they throw paint on them and rip the shit out of them to make them look "vintage".

I understand the rant, but like a lot of people in this thread, I think people just wear what they like and makes them happy. Sure there are the people who go way overboard spending a shitload on their clothes, but if that's what they like to wear, so what? If they want to clone everyone else, so be it.

For a lot of people, I'd have to say wearing "core"/small/whatever company clothes isn't an option. Where I live there's not many places to shop I guess. Walmart, the mall (which consists of the aforementioned stores + sears, kauffmans, bon-ton, other department stores that suck). Sure you could go to a ski/skate shop, but those are just corporate companys trying to make big money too.

Aeropostale and American Eagle have very cheap clothes. Like 20 bucks for a nice pair of jeans and the sales they have for girls are nuts. I'll go to the mall with my girlfriend and she'll get like pants and a shirt for like 8 dollars then they're always like "you can have these free panties too".
 
well i wear whatever the fuck i want to wear. also i think spending a lot of money on clothing is just stupid. you can get the same quality clothes for like $20 cheaper. the only difference is that it doesnt have some stupid logo on it or a retarded comment like "SLACKERS UNITE!.....tomorrow..."

ive been wearing the same pairs of wal-mart jeans now for years and they still have a lot of time left in them. same with my t-shirts. their all skateshop shirts which i got on sale and they last me a long time.

but i guess if you like spending rediculous sums of money on clothes because it has a logo on it well i guess thats just you. i see much better things to do with money than support a clothing line whos profits are way out of perpotion with their sales.
 
i just wear skiing stuff now i got a armada belt or i go to like pac sun or zumies i used to wear that stuff but its not me so i got me some skiing shirts and stuff
 
i've noticed west49 (skate shop) is now trying to appeal to all of todays "cool trends" they're carrying all these emo band shirts and stuff like that, they used to be cool

I have work some abercrombie stuff, but mainly the pants - because I'm tall, I have a hard time finding anything that actually goes below my ankles, but that, and I'll only buy em on clearance... which isn't often...

I'm actually a real big fan of Marshalls, which for those of you who don't know is where they have like, seconds from a bunch of kinda bigger brands. Baisically, Billabong, Hurley, Quicksilver, O'neill, Ripcurl - awesome like, surf-style stuff which I'm real into, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than normal, at a place like pacsun (which I love, it's just expensive).

I'm baisically against most of the big stores that sell a shirt with nothing but their name plastered across the front of it, or some crude humor. I think ae is the lesser of the evils as far as that goes.
 
i hate how in school you see like 4 kids with the same shirt on, then you turn the corner and there's 5 kids wearing the same shirt but different colors
 
really who gives a shit , some prep could make a rant about how all you skaters wear the same shit and it is only making someone richer ( quicksilver owns every-fucking-thing ...including rossi and roxy) so really it is juts your opinion against someone elses... dont make it into a big deal
 
meh, clothes is clothes, I just buy shit I like and is reasonably priced, doesnt matter where it comes from. If someone wants to buy a shirt from one of those "un-core" companies because they genuinely like the look or the feel, who cares. It's a different matter when someone buys a shirt they don't even necessarily like that much just for the brand name. I do think those preripped jeans are ridiculous, I think I'm gonna buy some cheapass jeans from someplace, rip em up, throw some paint on them, and try to sell them for 90 bucks.
 
i wear whatever the fuck i want to. i have couple hollister and AE shirts right next to my hendrix and doors tshirts. originality died with unsliced bread.
