I am getting a square trampoline and I am putting in the ground. Anybody done it before give me some advice. Did you dig the whole, or did you hire or rent a bobcat or something?

 
make sure that the hole can drain or you will be bouncing in a mud hole after heavy rain. You can put weed mat under it and woodchips over that to prevent weeds from growing up under it.

I guess that depends on what kind of soil you are digging into and how much rain and wet snow you get. If you are worried about it, dig a trench in the middle and fill it with gravel, beneath the weed mat and chips. Make sure the water would drain towards the trench with the gravel in it.
