Advice on Washing Jacket

Have a saga jacket that is starting to look dirty. Probably going to wash with cold water on low and air dry. Any recommendations or tips?

Dont use regular detergnet- it can ruin the waterproofing. Theres some stuff you can get specifically for jackets either online or at local ski shops- first you put waterproofing stuff in, and then some repellant stuff. Or theres a 2 in one that i use and has worked.

Two in one:

One of each

Nikwax works too

Buy Techwash and TX Direct, run a cycle with Techwash, and then one with TX Direct after. Techwash cleans without damaging waterproofing, TX Direct restores water repellency (I think). You can rub undiluted Techwash into any stains with a cloth before running the cycle, it worked on getting rail stains out of my red pants.

Check your tags before but most tech stuff can go in the dryer after. I think it's actually recommended by most brands.

Typically tumble dry low should be all good.

Goes without saying but some people are silly, don't use fabric softener

Tbh don't use for your regular clothes either, just toss two tennis balls in the mix
